I audition for a lot of voice roles(haven’t quite gotten any yet) and occasionally I’ll be looking through auditions with my sibling and reading audition lines out loud. Maybe three times out of five, when it’s for a fem character, they’ll look at me and say “you don’t have to make your voice lower there, you already have a lower voice than they’re probably looking for” and I’ll either be like “Oh yeah! I am a contralto” as if I forgot, or I’ll explain exactly why my voice has to go down at that specific point in the line. It’s fun
