A picture I took at Watkins Books for the Day of the Dead.
I would have loved to make my own decorations, to buy the wonderful marigolds and create a set up for my family. It didn't happen, unfortunately, and I ended up working a lot. I'm content anyways, because I've been learning a lot and testing my abilities, and this is a great gift.
At least, I got a chance to take this photo and I am so happy with it. I borrowed some flowers from Ganesh and some candles from the shelves; the skulls are Simon's, our nomad supplier of oddities - he has just brought them to the shop from some remote place in Asia, just in time for the festival.
Caro nonno Cosimino, cara zia Maria,
Guidatemi sempre.
Buon giorno dei morti, feliz dia de los muertos, and happy day of the dead!
