Does anyone else feel Faye just totally used Kratos.?
Like maybe she did love him and honestly wanted to leave things in the past but I also think she saw things come to be that she knew would happen (giant vision stuff) and knew everything else truly would happen.
We see a bit into Giant culture throughout the two games and it seems, at least to me, that some Giants don’t want to “follow their path”. They don’t want everything in their lives to just be part of an already written script. And others that see walking the path as unavoidable and trying to fight it just fulfills it.
So in the shrine(s) they find in jottunhiem(sp?) show Faye, with the axe already in her hand that she used to fight Thor in Vanahiem, being sent from her people.
Atreus and Kratos see that she destroyed the murals, and come to the conclusion that she never wanted them to know their future, letting their own actions guide them, but she destroyed the murals before even coming to Midgard so she must have known that she would indeed meet Kratos and have Atreus/loki and they would go on their journey. She destroyed the murals but still walked her path.
She saw Kratos’ death and still continued down her path that set her husband and son down their path.
Now the Utgard, it’s the giants dreams right. And obviously they can communicate a lot of hidden information through the dreams. And in the second game we see Kratos dreaming of Faye, but the dreams take a turn, from gentle talks to warnings of time running out.
I think, with her ashes being spread in Jottunhiem, it’s enough for her to almost continue to live on and communicate with Kratos through his dreams.
She warns him time is running out and there’s much to do, she NEEDS him to get a move on onto his path, SHE pushes the narrative to why was once foreseen in the murals.
Even if they think they made their decisions, they were heavily influenced by Faye, her teachings to Atreus, her deliberately keeping VERY IMPORTANT secrets from Kratos, invading Kratos’ dreams.
Idk I just don’t trust her, I think she only ever wanted to get to end, no matter the means.
Gimme ya thoughts
