nicole raised an eyebrow, smiling brightly as her boyfriend gestured her towards him in the dim light of their living room. their christmas tree still lit the room up with a soft yellow glow even though christmas had already passed. she kept quiet, reading camden's expression as 'come over here quietly,' she walked softly over to where he stood next to the tree. she looked down by his feet to see the puppy they'd welcomed into the family just before christmas asleep snuggled in a blanket underneath their tree. "she's so cute," nicole gushed, and rested her head on his shoulder. "so are you," she whispered and leaned up to kiss him once before sitting down on the rug spreading out underneath the tree to scratch behind the ears of their sleeping new family member.

 as he sun shone though the curtains, he groaned a bit. his head pounded and he definitely had some scratch marks on his back -- he could feel the sting. as he looked over to see who may preoccupy his bed, he blinked in surprise. if sam was honest with himself he may admit that he knew that his roommate was out of town for the weekend and that their significant other wasn’t with them. did he actually go after the other’s partner? no. did one too many drinks lead to then falling into bed together -- well more than just the bed if drunken memories served him right. but he wasn’t surprised on his part, he and his roommate hated each other -- only a matter of time before sam tried something. no, what he was most surprised by was the other. when they began to stir he cleared his thought. “you want breakfast?”

           “Does this make me look fat???”

alice tossed him a shirt and some sweatpants that her brother had left behind. it was really all she could find in that might fit remus. she began pulling out blankets from one of the closets and setting them aside for him. “i’ll leave the room so you can change.” she offered and then added “if you wanna shower, there’s a bathroom off that way.”

"baby, you use violence for practically everything. there are some things you just gotta chill out about. take a nap. eat some cheese. i know y'all technically don't actually need regular food anymore, but good god--"
