Great British bake off is actually the most British thing ever because the judges regularly anglicize other culture’s foods and then judge the food based off of their weird British version and call the actual version bad, refuse to eat anything that tastes slightly spicy or different than their milk toast tastes, be at least mildly offensive to almost every culture they touch, treat contestants unfairly, and pretend that they’re able to do what those they judge can do even half as well. It’s like performance art of British colonialism. I still watch it though, but just for the unhinged married gay man and most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen contestants.
