It’s gorgeous! I just got the artwork back and I’m so excited. It’s a celtic cross but made out of wood and vines and leaves. Hard to describe because it’s so very Herne the Hunter, nature, celtic vibe. It’s for my Dad who died when I was young -- he was a naturalist, love trees, worked with wood, built cabinets and chairs. He didn’t go to church but he was a religious man, believed he was closest to God when he was out in the woods. Plus, as @oft-goes-awry knows, the circle quartered by the cross is from Susan Cooper’s The Dark is Rising series of Arthurian mythology fantasies. I’m getting the tattoo on the same spot on my inner forearm where Will’s is burned in by the iron candlestick. There was a wood version of the cross of the six he found.

Can’t wait! the tat artist is a woman in a shop run by all women; pics of her work are amazing.
