cant stop thinking about how the only time gerry’s hair is described as poorly dyed is just a few months before he died. dude was feeling so sick he was letting go of that carefully crafted aesthetic he’s been cultivating since he was a teenager and gertrude really watched that happen like it wasn’t her problem

ive been meaning to post this for 1 william years and i keep on forgetting but in my mind gerry was heavily considering changing her name to just gerry but then she introduced herself to someone and they were like "oh like gerard way!" and then she was like. well i can never change my first name im like gerard way

the fact that gerry's health was declining and she didnt even Know she was terminally ill is like. extremely heartbreaking to me. but also reflects one of my own fears that my chronic illness is something terminal and i just dont Know. its scary. and its a real threat like thats Real. and she wasnt going to the doctors she had no way of knowing it was fucking Cancer. and even then she refused treatment at the end. god
