As a Sudanese living in Egypt, my heart aches every day for the people of Sudan - both those still enduring unimaginable hardship back hoke,
Goal: €20k/25k
The community kitchen Thomaserena set up the chuffed fundraiser for has been dealing with water and electricity shortages. The water shortage was so dire that the kitchen had to shut down temporarily.
And yet, despite the massive depts Thomaserena has incurred from relocating his family to Egypt and all his mutual aid work, he still took on more to be able to help the kitchen purchase two water tankers. This was a last resort, as there was not enough funds gathered to afford the tankers.
If the water shortage carries on, the kitchen will need to buy more tankers to be able to operate. The price has become even more expensive due to the Sudanese pounds' value hitting an all time low and due to corruption.
All of this is explained in more detail by Thomaserena in his last two updates on Chuffed (posted June 9th and June 11th).
If Thomaserena can find a way to help despite his financial situation, there is no reason you cannot find a way to spare even just $1 or $5. Every little bit counts.
Thomaserena is vetted on SudanFunds.com and has been shared by Sara (bsonblast). If you check the updates section for gfm or chuffed, you can also find proof of the transfers ThomaSerena has made.

Today is the first day the FIFA World Cup. We should do everything in our power to boycott it!
FIFA (International Association Football Federation in English), like many organizations, is corrupted. Here are some of the few things it has done over the past couple of weeks:
1) "FIFA president Gianni Infantino has fended off concerns over ongoing visa issues for players and officials entering the United States for the World Cup, saying the global football body’s executives are not “kings of the world” and cannot override government decisions.
Infantino, facing questions from the media on the eve of the tournament on Wednesday, said that FIFA is focused on being a “sports organisation” and will not intervene in helping the US determine approvals for entry into the country" [Al Jazeera].
2) "FIFA is banning spectators at World Cup matches from bringing reusable water bottles into its stadiums, after initially saying it would allow them.
Just three weeks ago, FIFA updated its code of conduct policy for North American venues, stating that “empty, transparent, reusable plastic bottles, up to (1 litre in) capacity, may be brought into the stadium,” Reuters reported, but backpedalled Thursday, saying they were no longer allowed and that fans will now have to purchase bottled water on site" [Global News].
3) "FIFA President Gianni Infantino defended World Cup ticket prices, saying Wednesday "if we are doing something wrong, everyone in North America is doing something wrong'" [CBC News].
As a sporting organization, it is okay with harming the local economy, the environment and does not extend its influence when it comes to the people! (Which is nothing new!)
At the same time, 'Canada' has denied entry to Palestinian Football Association officials during the pre World Cup meeting? [The Guardian]. Eventually, visas are granted after pressure from the public [Palestinian Youth Movement], but this is how you know that FIFA is a platform for Zionists!
So please keep talking about Palestine. Boycott, donate and protest! Consider helping my friend, Suad (@stillwritingtoday) [#279 in the vetted spreadsheet by @/el-shab-hussein and @/nabulsi. @/nabulsi has written multiple posts for Suad, with the latest update here].

The World Is Celebrating Eid. My Family Is Melting Inside a Tent in Gaza

Dear friends of Palestine, friends of Gaza and friends of my family in Gaza!
FINALLY!!! We are at 99% of our goal in our campaign to evacuate the living hell of Gaza and rebuild our life in Ireland!
While people post Eid outfits, food, and family photos, my family in Gaza is trying to survive another day of bombs, hunger, fear, and unbearable heat.
There is NO safe place left in Gaza.
The bombardment continues every single day.
The explosions never stop.
And now summer has turned the tents they live in into literal ovens.
Imagine trying to sleep inside plastic and fabric under a burning sky while drones and airstrikes continue around you.
This is NOT a temporary hardship.
My family has lived through this nightmare for more than two years.
Two years of displacement.
Two years of terror.
Two years of watching their lives collapse piece by piece.
I am in Ireland, studying and trying to build a future, while every day I fear getting the phone call that my family did not survive the night.
We have already come such a long way thanks to the incredible support from friends of Gaza and Palestine around the world. Truly, we would never have made it this far without you.
And now we are VERY close to reaching our final goal.
Our only goal is to evacuate my entire family from Gaza to Egypt temporarily, and then reunite safely together in Ireland.
Please do NOT abandon Gaza and my family because the headlines got quieter.
Please don’t stop caring because the world moved on.

People say: "Family always comes First," and to that, I say: "Amen!".… Mahmoud Khalaf needs your support for Death chases my family in Gaza;
Thank you from the bottom of our heart for standing with us so far and bringing us SO VERY close to reaching our final goal.
Words would never ever do your justice for supporting my family in the most critical time of our life: in a time we were running for our lives to ESCAPE death during the genocide.
The conditions are still incredibly difficult and evacuation and rebuilding our life is our only option. Please continue to stand with us and support my family’s campaign. You’re our only hope to survive and rebuild our life and safety.

Everything changed the day Amira was born.
The world outside was collapsing — bombs, dust, screams, and fear. Yet inside a small room, by the dim light of a single candle, a new life began.
While others were running for shelter, I was holding my newborn daughter, trembling, crying, trying to believe that something so pure could still exist in a place like Gaza.
I named her Amira, because I wanted her to feel like a child of life —not a child of war.
A year has passed since that night, but nothing has really changed
Our house is still rubble, our streets still carry the smell of smoke, and the sky still echoes with sounds that make Amira flinch in her sleep.
She has just turned one.
She’s learning to walk, holding my finger with her tiny hand, laughing at the smallest things — as if she doesn’t see the destruction around her.
She doesn’t know the word “loss.”
She never met her father, but when she smiles, I see him there.
Sometimes I watch her sleeping, and I wonder what kind of world she will grow up in — whether she will ever know what peace feels like, what home smells like.
And yet, when she opens her eyes in the morning and says “mama,” everything becomes bearable again.
I want to rebuild our home.
Not just for the walls — but for her future.
For Amira to have a small room, a safe place to dream, a life that belongs to her, not to war.
I’m not asking for much. Only for a chance to give her a beginning filled with warmth instead of fear
My name is Saja. I am a mother, a wife, and just one of many women in Gaza trying to hold on — to hope, to my family, and to a life that no
A Mother’s Message
To everyone reading this — thank you for listening to our story.
Your kindness means more than words.
Every share, every message, every donation — it all helps me rebuild not just a house, but a future for Amira.
From the heart of Gaza, from a mother learning to hope again —
we will live. And I will make sure my daughter grows up in a world that knows love more than war.

My name is Darius. I am raising money for Mazen, a Palestinian man from Khan Younis who is currently trapped in Gaza with his wife and six s
Ahmed's father is overdue for this third chemo session. It was originally scheduled for March 10th, but we failed to meet the goal on time despite the two weeks we had to raise the money.
The doctors were able to reschedule Ahmed's dad for March 25th. Ahmed will need the money by 12 am on March 25th, eastern european standard time. That gives us 8 more data to raise whats left to cover the cost.
If you can donate anything at all, please give what you can. Try to find a non-essential expense you can cut back on and donate some of that money instead. It could be skipping your morning coffee stop on the way to work or eating at home instead of dining out this week.
Even small donations can help, if we can build momentum and keep it going. Chuffed allows donations as small as $1, if you can spare that please donate.
Current progress: $543/920

We only have 4 days left. We only raised $5 today. Please donate if you can. We need to get momentum going or else we are not going to be able to reach the goal.
It doesn't matter how much or how little you're able to give. If you're able to donate, anything you can give is appreciated. But please don't ignore this post if you have the ability to donate right now.
If you cannot donate, please share.
