I love action and thriller books. It was kind of sad when they shot that poor lady. And talk about a conspiracy because that was wild. Jaime was my favorite character, I loved her tenderness but also stubbornness attitude. 🌟 And when Sara finally opened up to Jaime, it was really cute. Can she help Reagan heal and ease her pain…perhaps chase away the blue?"⁠ ⁠ ⁠ ⁠ 🌟 I first read this book 2017 and I was so happy I had found out about lesbian fiction because the books were so good and entertaining. The best escape. I made it a ritual that during December, I read this book, "Under A Falling Star" by Jae, and now Gerri released "The Great Charade". So my Christmas reading (re-reading) list is looking prettier and prettier. I also bought "A Swedish Christmas Fairy Tale" by A.E. Radley, now I am intrigued about this one since I live in Sweden. ⁠ ⁠ ⁠ 🌟 I love Gerri's work. I am proud to say, I own 40 copies of each of the published books and I have read 39/40. I enjoyed this book, hence why it is on my Christmas reading list. There is the Christmas feeling, all the drama that you would expect on Christmas is there, even a divorce amidst finding love and happiness. ⁠ ⁠ ⁠ 🌟 I couldn't relate to either characters, but there is something about how Shelby cared and loved Reagan, that keeps me coming back all the time. Reagan suffered a great loss and the way Shelby could reach her without pushing, was written so beautiful. And when they were together, they had such sweet moments and their chemistry was awesome, esp during that closet scene.⁠ ⁠ ⁠ 🌟 Gerri Hill wins when it comes to scenery description, especially when a scene on the book cover is being brought into the story. Just fabulous and I always love the simplicity of the art used on the book covers. Catherine Ryan-Barrett, running from the fame and fortune of her family name, wants nothing more to spend the winter alone and sequestered in her high mountain cabin." ❤ I first read this book in 2016, it was among the first lesbian books I read. I have re-read once and now in 2021. I used it on the "Forced Proximity" on the Sapphic Reading Challenge by Jae. ❤ I love this book. The first time I read it, yeah, I was so happy. And when I read it this time as well, I was really happy. There is angst and emotions and friendship and of course, it is never slow to have a weird family. It was really sad what Ryan's mom did to her. And then we have me Jennifer falling in love, just adorable. And those dogs, another plus. It is a winter book. PS: I love how Gerri Hill's book covers never have people on them. 👻PARANORMAL/DETECTIVE😫 👻 FBI Agents CJ Johnston and Paige Riley Work partners: Ice and Billy. In the chilling sequel to Keepers of the Cave. 👻 As many times as I have read Keepers of the cave, same applies to Weeping Walls. And this one had one of my favourite themes... malevolent spirit and benevolent spirit. Just awesome. I have a crazy thing for ghost stories. 👻 The story had a story in its self. And CJ, my woman. I love the fun and laughter in the small moments that turned up in this book series. It is not all just ghosts. There is laughter, and love and acceptance. Keepers of the cave and Weeping Walls are my Halloween reads.
