Blu Christmas Holiday Movie Asplosion 2022! ⛄ Chapter 49: A Christmas Carol 🦌 People's opinions will always differ, and I respect the perfectly valid arguments for other versions and other Scrooges, but for my money, I think this is the best overall adaptation of A Christmas Carol, and I absolutely, unequivocally believe George C. Scott is the best Ebenezer Scrooge I have seen. Plus it features the brilliant David Warner (the ultimate British "oh hey, it's that guy" actor) as Cratchit. In fact, the entire cast is pretty perfect for it, with the possible exception of Tiny Tim, but I may just be saying that because he is disconcerting to look upon... (no offense, Anthony Walters, but young you was slightly creepy.) And of course I have to finish my Christmas Carol block, and so I did, with my favorite version. ❄️ 🎄I'll Have a Blu Christmas Holiday Movie 'Asplosion 2021!🎄 💿 Chapter 59: A Christmas Carol 🎞️ While most things can't compete with the Muppets when it comes to fun and charm, this, nevertheless, I feel is the better film. Either way, I very firmly believe George C. Scott to be the best Ebenezer Scrooge I've ever seen. He treats it seriously and manges to keep the performance believable, while also being absolutely hilarious in the funny moments (and there is definitely comedy, even in the original novel). This version is brilliantly acted by a great cast, is well shot, has great sets, handles the spooky, fantastical, dramatic, and comedic parts well, and again, George C. Scott is just perfect.
