Geofront, a fan translation team that has recently entered a partnership with official publisher NIS America to localize Trails from Zero and Trails to Azure, has announced that their highly anticipated fan translation of Ys vs. Trails in the Sky: Alternative Saga will be releasing on October 16, 2021. This project is independent of any official avenues and is purely fan-led.
This title is a fighting crossover of Nihon Falcom’s Trails in the Sky subseries and Ys franchise that was released for the PSP on July 29, 2010, in Japan. Unfortunately, it never received an English localization. The Geofront team has gone through extensive lengths to make this fan release as qualitative as possible with font enhancements, bug fixes, and other welcome optimizations.

You can view the trailer from Geofront for their soon-to-be-released English patch below. It showcases brief footage of combat, character interaction, and several menus.
The Geofront team will be making a new blog post on their website next week for details on patching the official UMD release. In addition, an HD texture pack will also be distributed, providing further modern enhancements.
