Summary: 

It’s Genma's final year at university. It promises to be filled with friends, parties and friendly pranks. Until someone takes the pranks too far… Some things can’t be forgiven. 

Genma and Asuma leaned against the worn-out camping chairs, beers sweating in the cup holders built into the armrest, on the front lawn of the frat house. The fall semester of their senior year had just gotten underway, but sitting outside on days like this watching the pledges weed the unused flower beds was a tradition, and Genma didn’t want to miss a moment of it.  “What is the point of this?” Kiba complained, looking at the red marks starting to form on his hands.  “Hard work shows dedication and builds character,” Asuma answered, taking a sip of his beer. “And because you were told to,” Genma added helpfully.  He was sure he heard Sasuke mumble something about “legacy,” but he was smart enough not to say it too loudly, so Genma let it go. Afterall, it was hot, and he was still hungover from the party the night before.  The pledges had accepted their bids gratefully, but they had a long semester of proving they were up to the challenges. Today was just the beginning, and as the ABO vice-president it was Genma’s responsibility to make sure they learned their place.  He watched from his spot in the shade for signs of bonding and teamwork, the entire point of these menial tasks, with a bored disinterested look on his face.  That was, until Mei came out the door looking like all his favorite things.
