I wanted to change the main theme of my blog away from politics to something that incorporates more of my personality, favorite season, and weather.

I'm excited for Starfield, but at the same time I'm a bit worried because of the fallout 76 and Redfall launch. I do love that were gonna be able to build ships in just about anyway we want too. the 1000 planets is gonna be cool to see, especially once modders get access. Character creation looks great too. Combat does look better than fallout 4 and 76's. I am hopping that the dialog selection is back to where it was before fallout 4 cause that, while neat for a bit, did bring the game down alot in role play.

Awwwwwwww, how truly adorable~ @generallemarc blocked me after realizing that they’d just said the same thing twice in a row without actually offering anything of value to the conversation and looked like a fool~ ^^

Seriously though, what exactly is your obsession with synagogues and mosques? Is it because you’re upset that people are saying mean things about your church for its long-standing history of hatred, bigotry, and attempts to exterminate anyone who exists in a way that can be extrapolated to violate the terms and conditions of your little book of fairy tales through the most Olympian of mental gymnastics?

Well, if it’ll put your mind at ease, I do indeed believe that if any so-called “house of god” wants to have a say in politics then they should have to fucking pay for it like everyone else. In fact, I don’t think religious organizations should be tax exempt period. Be it a church, synagogue, or mosque, I’d report equally any of these things if they were found to be trying to influence their attendees to vote for harmful, bigoted legislature. If you want to stop hearing about your church specifically so much, then maybe tell them to stop doing that so much.

YEAH I CAN’T BELIEVE IT EITHER TBH HAHA Actually with each new comic I get a lil bit more worried how long that motivation is going to last, but so far I’m sTILL not fed up with the region and it’s characters :’D In fact, now that El and Guzma have become friends, I want to explore a few more different relationships between other characters that I haven’t payed as much attention to before. I think I have like... 1 or 2 more comics ahead of me before I’m going to focus on a new character, but I’m really looking forward to that! Unless I get an unexpected idea for anOTHER comic inbetween that I suddenly feel like drawing, but I don’t think that’s very likely to happen right now.

At what point does “I was never misgendered” become “I hate trans people by default”? You don’t have the slightest level of understanding of the people you’re talking about

“I was never misgendered” doesn’t mean “I hate trans people by default”, but it does mean I don’t understand the trans experience without working to learn about it and that life is a lot easier for me.  When I go into the bathroom I prefer, nobody stops me.  Nobody demands that I get my hormone levels tested if I excel at sports (this is also something that disproportionately affects Black cis women who are elite athletes).  I don’t have to fight to get my gender marker changed on my ID or to get the gender-affirming treatment I need, which even if it were recommended by my doctor might not be covered by my insurance.  Going to the doctor is a less traumatic experience for me, despite the fact that I’m fat, because my genitals and my gender presentation line up in the expected way.  I’m not a transman who has to go to a “lady doctor” or a transwoman who has to explain why yes, she’s sure she’s not pregnant.  If somebody calls me “sir” instead of “ma’am”, it doesn’t trigger any dysphoria for me.  I won’t lose my job because of my gender presentation.  I don’t face constant casual erasure of my experience by people who say “ladies and gentlemen” or “guys” or any of those things we don’t even think about when we say them unless we get educated to recognize it.  

I’m not sure you really understand what systemic ‘isms are and how they operate.  Even in a room full of people who aren’t transphobic, the system is still set up to benefit cis people by default.   My life is easier because I’m cis in ways that I didn’t really consider when I was younger because I didn’t have to.  That’s what I have to recognize and work against.  The experience of others is different than my experience, and most people’s experiences are more difficult (because I’m an able neurotypical cis white woman whose gender presentation doesn’t mark me as “visibly queer”).  I’m presumed innocent in a lot of situations where others would be suspected.  That’s what systemic racism/transphobia/homophobia etc. means.  I’ve never had to fight to have my humanity recognized (aside the obvious prevalance of misogyny and queer/biphobia).  I’ve been playing life on an easy setting - the system is set up for me.
