Regular reggae disco in North-East London playing dub, dancehall, roots, rockers, ska, rocksteady and other bass transmissions on two turntables and a space echo. The night is named after sadly departed MC Earl Anthony Robinson, the voice behind classic deejay tunes such as "Drunken Master". For our July session we're very happy to welcome DJ Cherrie Flava to E17. A key part of the underground music scene in London for the last few years, via her excellent record label MIC (LAPS, Kolida Babo, Mike Collins, LORD TUSK), shows for NTS Radio, Worldwide FM and Soho Radio, behind the counter and A&R work for one of the capital's greatest record shops, Sounds of the Universe, and more besides. On warm up duties is South London's Mikus band leader of Aketi Ray, selector and voracious music fan - we highly recommend spending a few hours rooting around his blog for some essential mixes and radio rips. http://mikusmusik.blogspot.com/search/label/DUB%20AND%20REGGAE Come down and listen to some great tunes in Walthamstow's loveliest pub - a short walk from Walthamstow Central station with an affordable bar, though please note it's only accessible via a flight of stairs. £5 on the door, 8pm til thee midnight hour. See you by the speakers!
