General Distrust and SATA!! This was the funnest part to draw so far. I love Distrusts flowery body language. He's also the first time I've ever consistently drawn a character wearing lip product and I'm really warming up to it

I know you probably hear this a lot, but I love love LOVE the puns with the names in the Desolation Regime! The words themselves actually applying to their jobs but the dis- prefix adding the negative aspect of it plus the General title creating a sort of depersonalization, as the terms "general disregard" and "general disrepair" and the like apply to non-specific, non-individual circumstances, thereby stripping the characters of their individuality through being just another cog in the regime! By joining with the Desolation Engine, they've been generalized down and made to function as tools of chaos and, more appropriately, desolation! It's an incredibly clever way to introduce the character, what they do, who they are, and the views of the system they're a part of!

I'll admit it did confuse me some times in the beginning; On this blog you'll sometimes find the occasional instance where I get General Disinterest and General Disregard mixed up.
I'm so glad you caught on to the non-individual nature of their names when you use them as phrases. One of the criteria I use for naming a general is that it has to be able to be used in a sentence, ex. "They all had a General Disregard for safety regulations" or "They had a General Distrust in the system"

I mistook distrust and sata as being in a relationship at first and now it's kinda a vague headcanon I have that I thought you might find funny lmao (it might've been distrust calling sata sweetheart but he also has the vibes that he'd call everyone that so idk š¤·āāļø)
Also them both ganging up on disregard is hilarious and those two have quickly become some of my favourites from the entire altonverse lol

Distrust and Sata are in the relationship that can be had between a boss and a lacky. Around the regime Distrust is called Satas 'Handler' and 'Sponser' by various people.
It really is a "they do his dirty work" type of relationship. They're definitely not involved with each other beyond that.
Also, let me in on an old tumblr tradition (especially in the tumblr RP circles); back in my day reoccurring anons would identify by signing off with a specific chosen emoji acting as their signature. I always thought it was a cute way for anons to identify themselves!
