This man did not just say "my understanding of justice is the best and most easy and basic thing." and then kept saying "I am not going to talk about the parts where my two principles do not fit" and "I am not going to include minorities and discriminated people because they complicate things". This man did not just define justice as fairness only for white men and then made everyone believe he was legit. I cannot.
I was rewatching TMNT 2003 with a friend and I will forever be salty about how they adapted Sons of the Silent Age into the series. I get it that they couldn't adapt The River trilogy (I understand the author had a right to say no when asked for permission, and I respect his decision so, so much!) but SotSA, besides being about the merpeople, it was quintessentially a Raph-centric story. It was about Raph. With how little Raph-centric issues there were, and how little we got to be in his shoes, SotSA WAS that important for him.
I just wish they had come up with something similar to The River (Good Genes? Hello?) AND THEN give Raph his SotSA moment.
