I feel you, I could research for days. But I do research for work, too, so I have a bad tendency to lock in and rabbit hole the shit out of something and then just… poof, hours have past, and I have written nothing 😂. So once I got to the 1870s amendments and history of repeal and things I had to stop myself? I forget the “have fun” point of it all a lot haha, it’s hard for me to find the balance between good historical grounding and “oh god it’s one in the morning what am I doing” (my main fandom is blue eye samurai, and for my unreasonably long fic I have hand drawn maps of where I think every single building would have been in Edo castle’s 16th c post-fire of Meireki layout, so I can check them when I’m plotting movement between castle levels. This is… so fundamentally unimportant but like iiiii love a rabbit hole 🥴) hooray for research and having fun 💚 I hope you find some cool stuff for your fic from the 70’ docs! research partyyyyy

I was 17 when I started writing it and I think it shows, still in school, still learning English. It's been a while since I reread parts of it. I guess I'd do it differently (ofc, who wouldn't after so long?!) but there are still parts I enjoy.
