No One Saves Us. ..... But Ourselves

There comes a moment when wisdom teaches a difficult lesson. Not everyone who asks for help wants a different life. Some only want relief from the consequences, not freedom from the habits that created them. You can offer your hand. You can offer your time. You can offer your patience. But you cannot walk a path for someone who loves standing still. The gardener may water the seed, but the seed must choose to grow. The eagle may show the sky, but the bird must choose to fly. And some souls, no matter how much light you bring into their darkness, will still return to what feels familiar. Not because they are evil. Not because they are unworthy. But because comfort is often stronger than transformation. The hardest truth is realizing that saving people is not your purpose. Loving them? Perhaps. Guiding them? Maybe. But carrying them while they refuse to walk— that is a burden no wise heart can bear forever. For growth begins only when a person says: "I am tired of the mud." And until those words come from within, even the cleanest water cannot change where they choose to live. 🖤
