He was tracking down local newspapers that published Jim Davis’ earlier Gnorm Gnat comic strip and discovered that before Garfield, he made a short lived series titled Jon, where the focus was on the life of the bachelor instead of his cat. 1- What's your blog title from?

Thought it was funny at the time. I've always been into comedy & comics. When I remade my tumblr in 2018, I was big into Lasagna Cat, and vaping was still this relatively new phenomenon. Truth be told, I stay away from vapes because I at least know the full extent of the risk I am taking with analog smoking.

5- What's your drink of choice? (Coffee/tea order, alcohol of choice, pop, etc)

Unfortunately I'm a sucker for sweet drinks; sodas, milkshakes, slurpees, the like. My caffeine intake wholly comes from mtn dew. But when I have the choice, always a Dr. Brown's black cherry.

13- what's something you learned recently?

Sparing you any life lessons I've learned through the pain of failure, I just learned about the original verses from "Take Me Out To The Ball Game". Also the original songwriters would not attend their first major league baseball game until two to three decades after dropping this track, which is crazy to me.

14- if you could give a TED talk on anything, what would you talk about?

I don't think of myself as someone who can or should speak with an air of academic authority; but lately I've been thrumming together a couple of theses. One about a mostly forgotten queer fandom, plus an adjacent animation culture that was effectively snuffed out by a runaway success. The other dissertation I am currently writing is about a failed art collective that caught my morbid fascination, its semi-accidental reinvention of the historical art movement it was aping, and the boundaries of "transgressive" art.
