Kiss the Villain by Rina Kent. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 Would recommend.
I listened to the audio and it is pure perfection. I love everything about this book. The plot was amazing and the characters were fantastic. Gareth and Kayden are one of my favorite fictional couples. I abselutely love Gareth's character.
Look at the trigger warnings before reading. It is a dark romance.
Spoilers for Tempting Venom, the Viper’s Series, Kiss the Villain, and Crave the Villain by Rina Kent
So I finished Tempting Venom this morning. And it was a 5 star read. My favorite Rina Kent book, which surprised me because I didn’t think any Rina book could top Kiss the Villain for me.
But anyway… am I the only one hoping that Rina writes an epilogue for series like she did for the Royal Elite Series. Like a separate book that’s just a collection of epilogues for the three couples.
Because here’s the thing. While Preston and Marcus are together and happy at the end of Tempting Venom, there’s a small part of me that feels like it feels a bit like a HFN rather than a HEA because their happy ending isn’t like any of her books. All of her other books have her couples, specifically her MM couples, out and proud and living their best lives in the open not caring what anyone thinks. But for Preston and Marcus they still are out and about with their relationship
Yes, the people that matter to them know, but they still have to keep it a secret to the public because of Vencor. They even say that.
I feel like she needs to do a bonus epilogue book like the Royal Elite Epilogue showing the couples older, with Kane, Jude, and Preston being leaders, or higher than they were at the end of Tempting Venom. And that they were able to get rid of the homophobia in power. With Preston and Marcus out with their relationship.
I also feel like it would be a really good way to tie in Kayden being a big, but differently then before, part in Vencor again with Gareth by his side.
And maybe even showing Cyrus having something within Vencor after we learned a bit of where he came from.
I feel like if she was to do an epilogue book for a series it should be the Vipers series because it would be a good way to show where the characters are.
I know a lot people want something similar to the Legacy of Gods series, but I feel like their stories don’t need an epilogue book like the Vipers series does. I feel like God of war kind of does that for the first 5 books, and then Rina did those letters.
That’s just my opinion. Sorry for the long rant. Does anyone feel the same as I do?
Again yet another theory/headcannon I have ZERO proof for. I feel like AT LEAST one of the Carson brothers are autistic.
Is this theory solely because I'm autistic and I inexplicably get the vibes™? Yes. Do these vibes have any real basis in the books? Nope not really. Just vibes I fear.
goddess help me, gareth and kayden have me in a chokehold 🔥

oh, Kayden, you innocent lil bean. go read the book tropes again 😔.
"'Is this your version of being worried?' 'Not even if you die.' 'Who'll handle your tiresome personality then?'"
— Rina Kent, Kiss the Villain
Kayden: *has regular nightmares about his dead wife and has dedicated 2 years to avenging her and mourning her*
Gareth: Your wife? Are you still with-
Kayden: NO NO NO SHES VERY DEAD AND I AM VERY SINGLE.
