Explain to me why installing Gaomon’s official Linux drivers for tablet made it work worse?

There are many dog-themed Digimon, but among them Gaomon stands out as a personal favourite (something about that blue-and-red colour scheme combined with its cute "plucky kid trying boxing for the first time" vibe, I think.) Its official description states that it wears those big boxing gloves to protect the claws on its hands which are still growing in, and indeed with their thick padding they do kind-of resemble bag gloves (a type of boxing glove used for training, but which aren't generally used for actually fighting.) It's also apparently a relative of Gazimon, which I suppose implies that Gazimon is a dog as opposed to some sort of cat/springhare/monkey... thing?

(Bag gloves are made to protect your hands when training with punching bags. That Agumon's hands are basically unprotected, but then I supposed that's clearly not the biggest breach of punching best-practice its committing here...)

Gaomon debuted in 2006 in the Digivice iC 10X VPet, but is probably best known for its prominent role in the Anime Digimon Savers/Digimon Data Squad which debuted later that same year (where a Gaomon serves as the partner of Thoma/Thomas Norstein, and one of the main non-human characters.) Gaomon made another major appearance in the 2012 game Digimon Word Re:Digitize (where a named Gaomon, Sashenka, features as the partner of major supporting character Nicolai Petrov) and has since made frequent appearances in Digimon games, cards and merch. Its nice to see this funny little punch-pup getting some love!

Favourite Gaomon Art: This early Gaomon design, which is as silly as it is cute. It looks like early on Gaomon was intended to be more of a baby version of its "official" evolution, Gaogamon.

I had watched almost all episodes of Digimon Data Squad and I got inspired to do that. I just discovered that the European Spanish dubs of every Digimon series and films have their own quirks, ranging from names used to refer certain Digimon as well as some evolutionary stages to the titles of these media themselves.

When I took a look at this Digimon's own hashtag one day, I found out that it is a victim of tag baiting as some of the posts tagged with this one have nothing to do with Digimon. In fact, not disambiguating it may refer to a drawing tablet, a specific Internet celebrity or whatever; similar to the hashtag that simply says "avatar", as you might find either Avatar: The Last Airbender content or those that talk about James Cameron's science fiction franchise there. Another Digimon's own hashtag became victim of hashtag hijacking too, yet it was ruined by both foodies and fishers to some extent because they made a typo, so I had to denylist certain hashtags that I am not interested.

By the way, I regret to inform you that three out of four requests I received withered on the vine because a certain Jewelpet fan got involved in a controversy that resulted in the deactivation of their main account as well as their alternative accounts. By 2026, I am aware that this particular fan fetishizes Leviathans from RWBY in a way they headcanoned Jewelpets as having the ability to turn into such creature and their corresponding forms were much different from how their default forms are canonically portrayed. I initially thought this might be crackfic at best, but no, they had asked minors for this kind of fetish content, even going far to send explicit content to some of them. (Mind you that all Jewelpets are animals and almost all of them are adolescents. Not to mention that fetish arts and NSFW content out of these characters are nothing new.) Luckily, I didn't receive questionable asks at all as this individual understood the art guidelines. Due to these accounts being deactivated, it now no longer makes sense to continue development of the requests in question. As of the day I publish this piece of fan art, I am still working on the remaining request that happens to be an unrelated crossover art involving Japanese media.

Besides, be prepared for something important (in a good way), which will happen next week.
