I have a wacom intuos pro 4 pen tablet that I bought for 400-500 bucks 13 years ago. It's my friend, it followed me to my artschool, it's has stickers on it that were ALSO good quality and are still there.
But like. 13 years. My poor baby is working perfectly well, but creaking a bit. I think I should think about putting some money aside for a replacement. Just in case. When I bought mine, wacom was the only valid brand, but nowadays there's huion, xpen, and more, that are more affordable and really cool. I think wacom is high quality (look at my 13yo tablet) but expensive. Xpen is really affordable, I might buy one just in case?
I don't want a screen tablet they're not good for my posture, illustrated here:
