Constantly avoiding sleep can cause numerous health issues, and being a Doctor he should know the risks. Yet still he persisted in this devastating behaviour. It shouldn’t be surprising to them that when they chance upon him at this varga, Ulaz looks like a walking corpse. Eyes are ringed with dark colours; his expression is hard to describe, however it is surely exhaustion that pulls at the corners of the lips and eyelids. 

It is also the exhaustion that causes the male to stumble - falling towards the hard metal alloy flooring. Spanning the distance between the pair with large, quick strides, Ao manages to firming embrace the Galra before he meets the ground. “ Doctor, how many times have you been told to stop avoiding sleep? You will make yourself ill with this kind of habit. ”

            It had startled her, surely, she’d bolted upright ready to bury her claws into some unknown combatant; but instead it had been something she could not fight. Though what could she expect when it came to someone who had seen and lived through so much and could not outlive those memories? She’d tried to console him gently to wake him from whatever terror was haunting him. If it were possible to fight a dream, she probably would’ve in that instant. When he seemed to catch his bearings a little he looked.. So small, trembling with his ears pinned back and his body curled up like that. Carefully, she reached out and wrapped her arms around his larger frame as best she could. Being as small as she was she decided on coiling about his shoulders and combing her fingers over his ear gently. He could’ve woken her up a thousand times and it would never be anything to apologize for, really. Especially not for this.

Everyone at this point had made the connection that Dexter was Sendak’s nephew,; one that was passed on as being weak when he Indeed was the exact opposite. Dexter began to gain more popularity through out the ranks and even gained a overbearing ego.

Dexter wanted to show his gratitude towards the soldiers that raised him to be the strong man he is today by delivering ancient galra fruit rescued from Daibazaal.

His next delivery was in a doctor’s room down a hall he did not recognize.

The room was dark. There was a red light glaring from the room and voices were low. With the bucket of fruit in his hand, he walked slowly to the light.

Through the crack of the door, he saw slowly developed photos of Zarkon in the act of destroying worlds.

“WHAT CAN WE DO TO DESTROY ZARKON” sign was hung above all of the photos, maps, and blue prints of the central command ship. Dexter took a step back to regroup.

Rage began to build inside of him. He had been honoring every single galra because of their help towards him and for being loyal to Zarkon , but is it possible that not every single galra has been loyal ?

Dexter dropped the bag of fruit and practically knocked the door open.

- “ my own stupidity. ” null chastises herself - harshly. she did not wish to divulge the true reason for her injury. lest everyone know the druid was soft.. weak. haggar would surely skin the youth alive. a druid who wouldn’t hurt a prisoner nor complete a draining ritual without crumbling, what a disgrace. “ i tripped over myself. ”  

Pidge had been about to pass the doctor’s room when she heard low noises. Normally she wouldn’t intrude in another’s personal space but it sounded like he was upset. So when she stepped inside and saw him fighting through what seemed to be a bad nightmare she had to try and wake him up.

She was thankful he managed to wake up but.. seeing someone so strong be so afraid was something the young Paladin hadn’t expected. That was the effect of so long spent in a war zone she supposed.

⌈ —  The skies were dark and heavy with rain as silver eyes turned towards one of the windows, watching as one drop became two, three...until more and more fell. Shiro watched as the rain hit the glass he was currently watching before making his way down the hallway. He had finished visiting his Paladins and their families, making sure to see them with his own eyes that they were in fact alright. It had been a grueling battle with the robeast, but luckily they won overall. Now they just needed to get some rest and recover.

But unlike the, Shiro still a lot to do. There were more meetings, briefings, reports, as well as trying to learn more about the Altean that was inside the robeast.

Yet, he still had something else he needed to do that he didn’t have much time to do so before.

Stepping out of the hospital building, opening the umbrella as to avoid getting wet; held onto the bouquet of flowers in his hand as he made towards the next building that held the Memorial Wall. Now that he had a bit of time for himself, he just needed to see Adam properly for the last time.

After paying his respects, Shiro left leaving the flowers and a picture frame at the base of the wall, making his way back to his duties. His silver gaze were downcast, but still held himself high as he was one of the most important figures, no need to let anyone know about how much he was grieving.⌋
