HOLY GUACAMOLE!!! I thought this was going to be either some sort of pre-vis animated type of CGI thing and it’s not! This was AMAZING and I love it so much! I totally understand the reasonings behind the more “sedate” duel in A New Hope -- actors’ ages, costuming, just a different time with different audience expectations than today -- and I adore ANH as one of my favorite movies ever, not just fav SW movie. But seeing this with not just updated fighting styles but incorporating in the history we now know between these characters and the dialogue from the prequels made this scene just brilliant. Give it a watch if you’re a SW fan and I think you’ll, at the very least, appreciate the artistry and talent that went into making this respectful alternate reimagining of this classic scene!
