It annoys us when people insinuate that soulmates have to be romantic. We’d beg to differ. February will be nine years since we became friends. We knew each other long before then because we’re cousins, but a relationship isn’t really about “clicking right away” in my opinion. We’re so close despite being so vastly different because we put work and effort into our friendship. We wanted to make it work- we wanted to be close as we could be. So we bonded over similarities, and let the complimentary traits click us together like puzzle pieces. Conflicts did happen- sometimes they were HUGE. But we worked through them. And we always will, because we’re human and we know there will always be times where there will be conflict.

I guess what I’m saying is that I was thinking a lot about this tonight, and with Milo’s permission I wanted to post about it. Milo and I agree that we’re soulmates. We tend to throw in the qualifier “platonic” because people cannot seem to grasp the concept of people being soulmates without being romantically involved, but regardless we are soulmates.
