Maxim Dadin - Futuristic city
(elledeluna)
I'm Elle De Luna and I hail from Toronto, ON, Canada - this music venture consists of singer/songwriter (me) Lauren Beatty featuring various artists and producers. Self-described as Experimental/Alternative/Pop/R&B, and drawing inspiration from such artists as Banks, FKA Twigs, Lorde and Lana Del Rey. "Gaslight" is my first single off my debut EP, set to be released summer 2017.
As a queer femme woman I often feel that I am mislabeled and categorized very quickly. Because I present in a more feminine way, people often assume I'm straight, and when they hear my songs they assume I'm talking about a boy, or an ex-boyfriend - or they ask me, 'so who's the guy who broke your heart?' I love to see the look on their faces when I say, 'It's a girl. A girl broke my heart.' Overall I write about my experiences in love. We can all relate to that. I try not to gender at all in my writing to give everyone the chance to listen and relate however they will.
