The cursed album – that's hexed! by aya, released via Hyperdub – is now playing, dear listeners. An absolutely stunning amplitude of sounds (I had the chance to hear some of the tracks at Unsound), but of course, the studio version in headphones is a whole different joy. There’s a lot of schizoid-maniacal shouted phrases, vocoder play, and experimental sound design – sometimes broken, sometimes glitched, at times diving into dubstep – basically, everything Hyperdub loves and puts out. Highly recommended! ❤
