It’s official. My last grade has been entered. I’m done with nursing school. I’ve earned myself a BSN.
It’s weird... I feel almost empty, like I’m missing a limb or something.
I feel like there’s something I should be doing... studying...reading...taking notes...homework... but there’s nothing due. No class tomorrow to prepare for. I’m...I’m done. It doesn’t even feel real. I don’t think it will until Saturday when I’m officially recognized as a nursing school alumni.
And I’m not 100% sure what to do with myself now. I know I made a HUGE list of things I was gonna do after I was done, but now that I am... it feels weird to be able to do them.
I finished nursing school!!!
Today I took my very last exam of nursing school!!!! Though I still have to pass the boards I couldn't be more excited to say that I did it! Another bachelors for the books. Couldn't be more proud of myself 😊

✨My new website is up and running!✨
heyyy!! I’ve created my own domain and business, called Nurse Skyanne. The purpose of this website is to reach a wider audience and continue to help prospective nursing students, fellow nursing students, and eventually nurses! I am hoping to continue to write educational posts and my personal experiences with my job in the ED and with my upcoming last semester of nursing school.
Each time I post on my new website, it will automatically create a post here on Tumblr, so don’t worry, I won’t be leaving any time soon! But you now have the opportunity to subscribe to my website via email. I am also now on Pinterest and Instagram!!
I am still learning how to coordinate all of these social media things, but I am very excited (and nervous) to take the next steps! Everything is still under construction, so if you have any ideas, please let me know!!
Click HERE to be taken to my personal website. Follow me on Instagram at @nurseskyanne, and see my Pinterest board here.
Thank all of you so much for following me so far. I love you all! ❤️
when you study for hours and still can’t answer NCLEX questions
Nursing Student ☀️Summer☀️ Tips
Off for the summer? Here are some productive things you can do! ⛱🌻
1. Do practice NCLEX questions. Yawn. Who wants to do work over the summer? Start by setting a small goal such as 10 questions/day. You’ll find that it won’t take up too much of your time! By the time summer is over, you’ll have done hundreds of questions. I use Saunder's NCLEX-RN Comprehensive Review for every class and it works wonders! Get a copy of it here!
2. Update your resume. This can be difficult during the busy school year! Take some time to really go through your resume and send it to a few trusty people for advice.
3. Look for internships and jobs. Set aside some time to gather up information about internships and jobs. Apply for what you can and get your name out there! What is your ideal unit? What is your ideal salary?
4. Review tough topics. Did you have a hard time with the endocrine system? Cardiac? Psych? You’re not alone. Look over some of these topics in a stress-free environment. No pressure, no due dates, no exams! You may remember more material this way. Go with 20 minutes a few times a week.
5. Relaxxxxxx. You’ve been working so hard. Plan time to treat yo self!
Happy Summer!⭐️
