Hey, so, that new video. Y’know that moment when Virgil is doing his solo about feeling bad about his past actions. And coming to terms with it and stuff. And he almost says it. He almost admits that he loves them. But he stops himself. Mid-word, he changes his sentence from “when you love” to “when you care for someone not much hurts more than their scorn.” That part. He’s come so far. But he’s still so scared. He can’t bring himself to vocalize his love just yet. And that fact is making me feel things.
Storyboard for final concept
( refer to previous post for the narrative)
These storyboards take us through the journey the audience will take through the experience.
An archive material based live experience exhibition celebrating 100 years since the first women won the right to vote in the UK. In collaboration with the National Trust and The National Archives, we recreated the recruitment and deployment of militant suffragettes in Piccadilly Circus. The project pioneered a new form of live exhibition tackling our societies ongoing moral dilemma regarding the necessity and effectiveness of militant action. We also partnered with Naz Legacy Foundation to host this year’s Diversity Day within the project. Credits: Production, Design, Curation, Direction.
I spent a lot of my time coming up with ideas linked to the British political system and racial hatred but I still felt like something was missing. I found that a lot of the ideas potentially sent out an unintended message about my own dislike for the police. So I changed my approach altogether and decided to research performance exhibitions and shows that get their audiences to engage with their own thoughts and emotions.
I stumbled across ‘Suffragette City’ by Fruit of the apocalypse which saw members of the public prepare to protest alongside the suffragettes to get a vote for women. Here the audience are encouraged to stuff their pockets with rocks, ‘to do damage ‘and are briefed on what to say and do if they are arrested. They are put in a position where they are told to speak out against each other, with some claiming that they felt intimidated when queried. All audience members stood firm because they knew that what they were protesting for was important.
This really opened my eyes to other avenues which could be explored and from this point I decided that in order to satisfy my need of getting the audience to fully engage, I was going to have to create a narrative that played on the emotions of people. The narrative had to have a sense of familiarity to it, whether it connected the audience by age, current situation, race, background, etc....

Further Development
From the previous ticket development, I have further developed one of the ticket ideas and linked it with the poster I have created. I have wanted to make sure everything is consistent throughout the exhibition and I found this was the best idea for my ticket. I am happy with how the from of my ticket looks now just needs some minor adjustments for the final ticket. I have also made the back of the ticket and added the logo identity and Cornelia Parker’s name as I only wanted subtle but important information on the back as the front has the main information. For the final ticket I have a few adjustment I need to make so I am happy with the final outcome of the ticket.
Marvel Prototype for That's Healthy, Lit
Further development - That’s Healthy, Lit - Final desktop version of the app
The link you see above is an access to the desktop version of the app, That’s Healthy, Lit where it is produced and prototype in Marvel website. And this will provide you opportunity to check out the pre-final version of the app to see whole design and embedded code of this app in motion.
Further development - Degree Show - Exhibition room space
The images you see above are rooms that I’ll display my work in Degree show, where the room will feature medium sized walls split into two areas that will be available for me and Sonam to use. When we first visit the location a week prior from the event launch, the walls seem to be out of colour (Dry white colour) and surface at the floor has white scratches around the area. So me and Sonam decided to re-paint two separate wall with extra white paint with black paint present at the middle to indicate two separate walls to showcase our work. Afterwards, we brought in the tablet stands, tablet device, headphones, and external sockets from AV store to fix the objects into professional set that will be accessible for event launch.
