#furry thoughts

For various reasons its hard to construct a cohesive sense of self. I do identify a lot with rodents, I just don't know at what point it's fair to say I identify AS a rodent.

When I say I'm a Mouse, it does feel very affirming, because it instantly highlights all the traits I like about me (smol, tiny dextrous hands, curious, pro social, affectionate, cheese conissuer, resourceful, resilient, cute, quiet until I'm laughing, silly lil fella, HUGE balls (well if I had those 😔), and I wish to be chased, picked up like a landline phone then squished like prey, etc. etc.).

And sure I could say or wait to show all those traits, could write it in my bio... Or I could just say "At the end of the day, I'm just a mouse ╶⃝⃤" and it all clicks for ppl. Thats just being efficient with time and character counts. And I love efficiency (like a mouse 🐁)

But what does it all mean? Is that all it takes? Really? That doesn't really say anything distinct about me. Lots of people identify WITH animals without identifying AS them. Are we just giving out the furry badge to literally anyone?

Oh yh, I guess I feel less like me when I'm not wearing my mouse ears, like I'm missing something essential, and-I'm-currently-workingonahypermobiletaill- but aside from all that there's not a whole lot of info to go on, and I'm not sure I'll ever really know for sure. At the end of the day, I'm just a mouse.
