This is Charlie. She is my nearly 14 year old furniece. I wish that I hadn’t spent most of her life anxious of dogs. I wish I hadn’t been too nervous to spend quality time with her. I wish a lot of things, but I can’t change things that are in the past, I can only make the most and the best of it now. For the last several months, this old lady and I have had a weekly date. We cuddle, go for a walk, have a snack, and then cuddle some more until she lefts me know that it’s time for me to go so she can go back to sleep. Our walks have become much shorter, her appetite for treats has waned, but her sweetness has not.
