The Nineties: A Book ~ Chuck Klosterman (2022) ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø I loved, loved, loved this book. Chuck Klostermanās The Nineties: A Book is a series of essays of varying lengths dealing with different aspects of the decade that was ābookended by falls - the fall of the Berlin Wall and the fall of the Twin Towersā. Covering everything from the definition of Gen X, to fax machines, to the murders of Tupac and Biggie, to the prevalence of TV and movie rentals, there is very little left uncovered. As a person who spent her early teen years and childhood in the 1990s, there is much that I remember (the OJ Simpson trial and the Monica Lewinsky scandal) but didnāt really understand. This book helped me gain context for these and other events. If you have any interest in non-fiction and lived through the ā90s, I cannot recommend this book highly enough. It was fantastic.
