Day 7
This morning was storming horrendously when I got up. It was lightening and thundering all morning. Jagged, purple bolts that lit the sky up in the early morning gloom. I was pretty sure they would shut the plant down, turns out I was half right.
Everyone in the field got to go home today. Meaning if you worked on the actual plant, you got to go home at 7:30 this morning. They had some several thousand people there, doing nothing for a solid hour and getting paid for it.
However, since I work for an independent contractor who doesn’t go on the site, instead I just hang out in my work trailer all day, I got to stay. I can’t really complain I suppose. I got paid for doing nothing all day. Received a bit of merchandise, put up some stock. That was it.
Plus size I went to the bookstore in town today. They had Funkco Pops on sale, so I picked up a Jaime Lannister because he was on sale for half off. So now I have some companionship while I’m out here. I also got the first book in Raymond Feist’s Riftwar Saga “Magician: Apprentice” So let’s see where that goes.
If I can make it to Thursday, I get to go home for a long weekend. Lord give me strength and Crom give me fury.
