It should have felt much less natural to be braiding Isaâs hair again, his hands remembering what to do even as his heart stuttered through a failed attempt to find the right words. Lea had a bad habit of speaking until he knew what he wanted to say, but tonight his voice couldnât even break loose from his chest. He squinted down at the silky strands slipping through his fingers. How it had stayed so soft, he had no idea.
âOne would expect youâd be out of practice,â Isa said at last, so quietly he almost seemed to be speaking to himself.
âYeah, I thought so too. Itâs like riding a bike, I guess.â
âYou donât know how to ride a bicycle.â
âHey, you donât know that.â
Isa twisted around to look at him with raised eyebrows. âDo you?â
Leaâs lips twitched in the direction of a smile as he gently pushed his head back. ââŠno, but you know what I mean.â
When Isa chuckled it was low and barely audible, the melody of it painfully familiar. He didnât know how long it had been since heâd last heard the sound, and suddenly Lea leaned forward to wrap his arms around his friend, burying his face in Isaâs shoulder. Isa flinched, a reflex, but didnât pull away.
âWhatâs this for?â
âIâm glad youâre here,â Lea said, voice muffled by the fabric of Isaâs coat.
He felt him hesitate, then cool fingertips brushed the back of his hand and rested there.
âAs am I.â
They stayed like that for a moment, as though nothing were out of the ordinary, as though they were fifteen again, tangled together the way Lea always wrapped himself around Isa who, for his part, had pretended to be irritated but hadnât been irritated at all. And Lea had known that. He had always known that.
When he did let go and resumed braiding, Isa let go of a breath he hadnât realized he was holding.
âListen, IsaâŠabout tomorrow.â
Isa stiffened. âWhat about it?â
âIs there anything I can possibly say to you that will convince you itâs a better idea to sit this one out?â
He rolled his eyes. âWeâve been over this.â
âI know, but Iââ
âIâm not leaving you toâdo you have any idea how that would make meâ? To not know? Or if something happens to you and I wasnât there toâno. No. I canâtâI canâtââ
âHey, hey, hey. Okay. Okay. Itâs okay.â
Isa closed his eyes as Lea ran his fingers through his hair. He still knew how to do it, he thought, knew exactly which motion and touch would smooth the tremors that still shook their way through his heart.
âSorry. I didnât realize.â
âI just could never forgive myself if something happened to you and there might have been something I could have done. You understand.â
Lea smiled sadly. âAnd Iâll never forgive myself if something happens to you, so I guess weâre both screwed.â
âWell, then I suppose weâll both just have to survive then.â
âFor each other.â
âIf nothing else, yes.â
âI can live with that.â
âYou had better intend to.â
Lea laughed, and Isa turned his head to look at him.
âStop moving!â
âWhat are you laughing about?â
âYou! Now look forward.â
âI fail to see the humor in it,â he grumbled, but obeyed all the same.
âItâs justâyouâre so serious.â
âOne of us has to be. And besidesâŠâ Isa twisted his hands together, mirroring the knotted feeling in his chest.
ââŠmost would consider death to be a serious subject, Lea.â
And he just laughed. Again.
âLea!â
âSorry. Sorry.â
He looked down at Isaâs hair again. It might as well have been braiding itself if it werenât for the flowers.
Lea usually felt compelled to fill silences. He didnât like the spaces between, the hang time in which anyone could be thinking anything and there were no leaking thoughts or betraying words by which to read their intentions. People made him edgy. They always had.
The only exception, of course, being Isa.
And SaĂŻx, for a while, had retained that ability to make him feel at ease. For the longest time, he had thought that nothing could get between the two of them, not even death itself, and the knowledge that they didnât need to be able to feel it to know that they loved one another had been enough, until it wasnât.
But he had underestimated Isa, hadnât he? Deep down he had thought Isa had been swallowed by the darkness, that there was nothing left of the boy and then the man that he had loved with everything he had, and he was going to save him, he was always going to save him, but in his heart he had wondered if there was even anything left to save.
As usual, he had been wrong.
âYou scared me, you know.â
Isa opened his eyes.
âWhen?â
âLast time we were up here.â
He winced. ââŠAh.â
âSorry.â
-
It had happened so quickly there hadnât been time to do anything but react. And it still haunted his dreams, memories of a slip that had never happened, of reaching for Isa a split second too late. Because Isa had come to that clock tower to take himself out of the equation. He had come to say goodbye.
Isa?
Lea.
What are youâ
Donât.
Butâ
Stay away from me. Donât!
No. Youâre here. That meansâŠyou have to beâ
Iâm here because IâI donât want toâIâm selfish, thatâs why Iâm here, all right?
What the hell are you talking about?
I didnât want to go without seeing you again. With my own eyes.
Go where? Go where?
Goodbye, Lea.
But Isa, in turn, had underestimated the force of nature that was Leaâs heart.
And how much of that heart still had his name carved into it, because what he had not expected, when he did jump, was for Lea to jump after him. Break the fall by flinging an arm against the wall, summoning that flame of a blade and dragging it against the stone to slow both of them, because he had wrapped his other arm around Isaâs waist, and they were falling together, they were dying together or not at all, and suddenly dying didnât seem like the best option any longer, because when Isa looked into his eyes, it became painfully apparent that Lea desperately wanted him to live.
That was what he had been so wrong about. That was why he had stayed silent for so long, allowing another to speak for and through him, not because he had been beaten, but because the heart he could not accept that he even had in the first place had been broken. And it was in that moment, at the end of a fall he had not intended to survive, with Lea clutching his shoulders and shouting what the hell were you thinking, that he realized that which he had been mourning had never even been lost in the first place.
In the face of SaĂŻxâs grief, Xehanort had had no problems convincing him that he didnât need his voice any longer. In the face of Isaâs will?
He hadnât had a chance.
-
âIsa?â
âHmm?â
âArenât you scared you mightâŠ?â
âMight what?â
âYou know.â
âWill you be there?â
âOf course.â
âThen no, Iâm not afraid of losing myself again. Not tomorrow. Not ever.â
âIf he even looks at you wrongâŠâ
âHe canât touch me now.â
âIsaââ
âWhat you have to remember is that I thought I had already lost you. I thought you were dead and then I thought I didnât matter to you regardless. I didnât have any reason to want to stay myself.â He paused and looked down at his hands. âThat isâŠno longer the case.â
âThat was never true.â
Isaâs face twitched as though he were in pain but he didnât look up, and hadnât seen the look of raw anguish that had etched itself into Leaâs face as he spoke up until Lea took his face in his hands and tilted it up to face him, his hands that were always so warm because he ran so hot, like his body was constantly trying to keep up with the fever pitch at which his heart operated.
âIt was not and will never be true,â Lea repeated. âNo, look at me.â
He couldnât help but sigh a little when they made eye contact. Relief. Green.
âIâŠbelieve you, I think,â Isa said slowly.
âGood.â
They stared at each other for the space of a heartbeat. Lea let go and shifted again and the gentle tugging on his scalp told Isa his hair was being worked at once more. He listened for the thunk of his own heartbeat, half-cursing it for being so distracting when he was just trying to think.
âJustâŠâ
âYeah?â
âCan you do something for me?â
A slight break in the rhythm of his hands as Lea momentarily faltered, inhaled.
âAnything,â he said.
âJustâŠstay with me. Tomorrow. I donât wantâŠcan you just promise to stay with me?â
âIâm not going anywhere.â
âI said promise.â
âI promise. Iâve got your back.â
Isa couldnât help but smirk. âYou know, thereâs a spine in there, if youâd like to borrow it.â
Lea tugged on the end of the braid a little harder than he really needed to in order to tie it off. âMy posture is not that bad.â
âIf you say so.â
âYouâre just bitter that I got taller,â Lea muttered.
âI am not bitter.â
âSure youâre not.â
He snorted. âYou still stand like a puppet with cut strings and you know it.â
âDeflection tactic. Also, Iâm done.â
âOh. Thank yââ
Isa had reached around almost absentmindedly to touch the back of his hair and fell silent when he felt the flower petals beneath his fingers. He clapped a hand over his mouth.
âWell, donât touch them, youâll mess it up. Hereââ
âLeaâŠare thoseâŠ?â
âMoonflowers. Yeah. I donât know if you still, I mean, I remembered they used to, when things were badâI thoughtââ
âLea.â
ââŠYes?â
âShut up,â Isa hissed, and had already started kissing him before Lea had the chance to disagree.
And it was familiar, his teeth still too sharp, lips still unnervingly cold and impossibly soft. Somehow, after all this time, kissing Isa was still the safest feeling in the world, and ever since he had thrown himself from the tower after him without thinking he had not been able to find the words say youâll be all right, so Lea kissed them onto his lips and Isa breathed them in like a once-drowning man tasting air for the first time since he decided to survive.
âNo martyrs,â Lea whispered. âYou make it through this.â
Isa nodded, throat too tight to speak, and took the hand Lea offered, allowing himself to be pulled to his feet.
âHereâthis oneâs for you.â
He stared down at the white petals of the moonflower Lea had handed him, and when Isa looked up, his eyes were full of tears.

6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 17, 19, 20 all for ben tell me all about him
6. What is something that they really regret?
He feels as if his decision to take Naizor with him from his home town pulled him away from a place that he was happy and thriving was selfish for a really long time. especially with how in Serenthâs kingdom he was doing so well while his brother began to feel ostracized and abandoned. Which eventually led to the incident. (The one where Naizor used a bunch of Hell magic, lost control and killed a bunch of people)
He blames himself for it.Â
7. Something theyâre proud of?
He is proud of his brother!!! for all the progress heâs made in trying to actively do better. And heâs proud of himself for having been able to make a lot of really good friends on the surface.
8. What is something they really hate?
When his wife and his brother fight, that really messes him up. When any of the people in the town talk about about his brother behind his back and he has to do everything in his power not to punch them. But because heâs so tall and beefy usually standing near them and staring at them until they shut up does the trick.Â
9. Now something they really love?
He loves his family!! He loves his brother and adopted mom, and loves his wife (and eventually his son when they have him). Heâs also getting better at repairing the bridge between him and his father. He loved his father as a kid but then he thought he was dead for like... over 20 years so there is a bridge to gap.Â
10. How does your OC react when theyâre embarrassed?
He laughs, heâs usually pretty much surprised/embarrassed by any compliment. So heâll let out a kind of startled laugh and then start looking around and its real bad heâll pull his badana up over his face a bit to kinda hide.Â
12. Are they a morning person or a night owl?As a Death Elf - whoâs eyes are made for being underground. Heâs naturally more disposed to the night because it doesnât hurt his eyes. But there are a lot of things about the day that he likes - itâs just harder for him to get around without getting headaches.Â
17. Describe some of their hobbies!
He likes going on nature walks, usually with Ninya. There are a lot of really huge old forests near the castle and he finds it relaxing to wander around in them where no one else is.Â
19. What are some of their strengths
he is very physically strong, for one. His father is a demon so he inherited all of the strength and none of the magic. But as a person heâs very nice and patient and sincerely just wants to do the best he can by everyone. Heâs also got really good intuition about when something bad is happening but the issue with that is that he doubts himself on whether to listen to those feelings.Â
20. What are some of their weaknessesHe refuses to talk about his problems because he doesnât want to inconvenience people. So they tend to pile up to a panic attack when they could have been resolved a lot sooner and a lot easier. Also some would argue that he is TOO forgiving.Â
goblin creatures. pipis. clowns. obviously the people are chase + miranda. great eyeliner. fantastic eyeliner. seriously your eye makeup could cut someone.

Machine - Regina Spektor, All The Young Dudes - Mott the Hoople, My Petersburg - Anastasia the Musical
The magician: have you ever written a poem or song about somebody else?
I think, a few years ago I wrote a really bad angsty poem about someone.

âKiss me. Just once. For luck.â Akusai or LeaIsa for something happier.
*saĂŻx voice* thereâs no crying in football
.
.
.
âThis seems like a bad idea.â Isa blinked at the small crowd that had gathered.
âItâs just sparring. Itâs not a big deal.â
âYeah, but youâll get sulky when you lose.â
âKiss me, then.â
Isa blanched.
âYouâwhat?â
His cheeks were as red as his hair, but Lea met Isaâs eyes without flinching.
âIâm not subtle,â he said. âAnd youâre not stupid.â
âIâI donât understand what this has to do with you sulking.â How did anyone function like this? He felt like his heart was about to take a rain check on running the show, and his brain certainly wasnât doing him any favors, not with every coherent thought being drowned out by the blood pounding in his ears.
âKiss me,â Lea repeated. âJust once. For luck. And then I wonât lose.â
Isa stared at him.
âReally,â he said after a moment. âYouâŠreally?â
Lea shrugged as though he had said he was thinking of going to get ice cream later rather than having expressed the desire to kiss his best friend. âYep.â
âFor how long?â
âAre youâdo I need to take back what I said about you not being stupid?â
âLea.â
âA while. I donât know. Forever. For the last five minutes. Does it matter?â For the first time, a flicker of panic crossed his face. âI mean, if you donâtââ
âOh, donât be stupid,â Isa muttered, and before his nerve had the chance to think about fading he had darted forward to kiss Lea very lightly on the mouth. His skin was hot, he thought dazedly. Isa had known that, of course, it wasnât like heâd never touched his friend before. But heâd never been that close. Certainly never close enough to kiss him. He had never kissed anyone, for that matter.
His heart still pounding, Isa watched as Lea stared at him in shock, then as his face split into an enormous grin that made him look almost like that stupid fireball on those frisbees he was always messing with. Well, he would have thought it was stupid were it anyone else. But it wasnât, it was Lea, and half a breath later Isa had the same dumb smile on his face.
âBetter not lose,â he said, a little breathlessly.
Lea glanced over at the boy he had challenged with an expression that was almost pitying. âNot on your life.â
âMy hero.â Isa bumped him on the shoulder. âGo on. Iâll be here.â
âDo I get another one if I win?â
The boldness of it earned him a catlike smirk. As it turned out, kissing Lea had apparently done nothing to stop him from acting like Lea, which was oddly comforting.
âYouâll have to wait and see,â Isa said.
âThen Iâll see you in a minuteââ
ââSaĂŻx.â
âBe careful,â SaĂŻx said without looking up. âItâs a snakesâ den in there. Or so Iâm told.â
Axel knew that tone, the bitterness in his voice muffled to an extent that would have worked on anyone else. He folded his arms.
âSaĂŻx,â he said again, sharper this time.
âYou should get going.â
There was always a reason when someone so inclined to staring people down until they withered refused to make eye contact, or even turn to acknowledge he was being looked at.
âThereâs no reason for you to be hanging around here,â SaĂŻx continued, still speaking to the wall. âI have everything under contrââ
âIsa.â
He flinched.
âYou sure youâre gonna be okay?â
And he thanked himself silently then, because he faced away from Axel, who did not see SaĂŻx close his eyes briefly it what he would have easily and correctly interpreted as an expression of pain. All Axel saw was a gloved hand ball into a fist around the piece of paper he held, crumpling it beyond any hope of return to its original state.
âIâm sure that doesnât concern you,â he said icily after a pause that lasted a little too long to be natural.
âDonât be stupid.â
He hated that Axel was always doing that, echoing, speaking words that belonged to the dead. Some things should die and stay there, SaĂŻx thought. He wished it didnât feel soâbut it didnât, of course. It didnât feel like anything. That was the whole point. The pit in his stomach was a memory. He knew that.
Zexion had explained it, somewhat dispassionately, how the mind missed the heart like a phantom limb, and would attempt to recreate the emotions it expected, a clumsy patchwork of memories and the clinging scraps of feelings long dead.
Long dead. How he wished they would agree to die like they had been meant to. It was worse than being empty in totality.
âDonât be stupid,â SaĂŻx repeated slowly. He glanced over and found that Axel was looking straight at him with an expression he had never seen before. He was also standing much closer than SaĂŻx had thought.
âYou chose a poor time to experience a resurgence of concern for my well-being,â he said finally.
âIt isnât a resurgence if it was never gone.â
âRight.â
âIsaââ
âDonât call me that.â
âFine. SaĂŻx. Whatever. Will you look at me, please?â
SaĂŻx closed his eyes again. He wanted nothing more and nothing less than to do so, and yetâŠ
âI think itâs best if you just go.â
Axel was silent for a long moment, and SaĂŻx almost started to wonder if he was going to comply. He wasnât sure if that would be the best possible outcome, or that which he least wanted to see take place.
But Axel was still a faded version of Lea, and Lea still remembered. He looked out from behind the eyes of a ghost at the blue-haired head before him, slightly bowed, and he knew. The knowledge that he had been hurting SaĂŻx, been hurting Isa, sunk into his chest like a knife.
The certainty that there was nothing he could say that would fix it was even worse.
He stared at SaĂŻxâs back, overcome by the desire to do what he knew he could not, which was make it better, make him smile again, be the friend he needed. Give him back what heâd lost, and keep him safe this time. For a split second, Axel wanted nothing more than to stay.
SaĂŻx opened his eyes when he felt the hand on his shoulder. He hadnât been touched by another in a nonviolent manner inâŠhad it been weeks? Months? Had the last person to do it been Axel too? He couldnât remember. He didnât want to remember. It made him want things he knew very well he could not have.
âIf it really is a some kind of snake pit in there, then Iâll probably need all the luck I can get.â
It was the memory of a lump in his throat. It wasnât real. He couldnât cry. You need a heart to cry.
He hesitated, then placed his hand over Axelâs, and finally turned around to meet his eyes. Axel looked down at him with that odd expression again, the only one that SaĂŻx couldnât read. But there was something close to a smile dancing at the edges of his eyes.
âTen years and youâre still using the same line,â SaĂŻx muttered.
âTen years and it still works on you.â
He opened his mouth to argue, but the words got lost on their way to his tongue when Axelâs hands cupped his jaw. He hadnât seem him take his gloves off, but then again, he hadnât been looking.
âJust once,â Lea said.
âOnce is never enough,â Isa replied.
But even the moon, in her own way, is selfish; she loved the sun too much to let him stop shining, so she took his light for herself. The night will never have you, she said. Youâre mine.
And it wasnât.
It never was.
There had been countless kisses between that first hesitant moment and today, and Axel was still surprised by how cold and how soft SaĂŻx was, the same way that SaĂŻx had been and continued to be taken aback by the heat that came off of Axelâs skin. He leaned into it almost unconsciously, a muscle memory. Somewhere, deep down, SaĂŻx had always wanted to be warm.
The softness of his lips was almost terrifying. It made Axel feel as though SaĂŻx could shatter at any moment, tearing into pieces at the lightest touch. It was so antithetical to the aura he exuded, the way he looked and spoke and held himself. He had filed his edges razor-sharp because it didnât matter how soft something was if you had to bleed in order to touch it. And yet it had never stopped Lea, and it certainly didnât stop Axel.
Quite literally, on occasion. He paused for air and to wipe away the blood from his lower lip where SaĂŻxâs teeth had broken the skin. SaĂŻx chuckled, low and humorless.
âOh, Isa,â Axel murmured, and this time there was no protest. He rested his chin on the crown of SaĂŻxâs head and pulled him in close. They stood like that for a while, SaĂŻx leaning against Axelâs chest with closed eyes, trying not to think about the creeping feeling that this was a more final goodbye than either of them had expected it to be.
âIâll leave in the morning,â Axel said finally, and SaĂŻx shook his head, but all resolve had temporarily fled the moment their lips had met. He figured, somewhat uncharacteristically, that he had earned the right to be a little selfish.
âWhatâs to become of us?â he asked, the edge of desperation in his voice no longer muted.
âNothing good.â Axel paused. âBut I donât care. Not tonight.â
It was only the memory of how it felt to have tears prick the back of his eyes. That was all it was.
You need a heart to cry.
You need a heart toâŠ
Isa laughed.
It was a wild sound, maybe one closer to a snarl than of amusement. Undeniably laughter, and undeniably coming from him as he swung down, smashing the twisted creature beneath to smoke in a single strike.
Kind of terrifying. And, Lea thought, if he was being completely honest with himself, pretty attractive, too.
When he met Isaâs eyes, they were glowing with something entirely different from the sick yellow light that had belonged to SaĂŻx. The look on his face was fierce, nearly frantic, and his eyes focused over Leaâs shoulder a moment before catapulting himself over it to pulverize the Heartless bearing down on him. Lea had no idea how he managed such speed while swinging that massive thing around. Itâs not like Isa was a particularly large man. The claymore was practically bigger than he was, and yet the leonine grace with which he handled it was in a class completely separate from anything Lea had seen from the other keyblade wielders.
He still wasnât as fast as Lea, of course. But then again, no one was.
âAre we even now?â he called as he took out four of them with a concentrated explosion of flames. Blue flames? Theyâd never been blue before. Lea shook his head to clear his ringing ears.
Isa looked back over his shoulder. âNot even close.â
âDamn.â
âYou couldâLea!â
But he had already swung out of the way with time to spare.
âWish they still listened to me,â muttered Isa, considering the berserker Dusk that had failed to land the hit.
It was Leaâs turn to laugh with the rush that came with just knowing that he was faster, moving as he did like liquid, or maybe like smoke. He narrowed his eyes at his opponent, considering. Those things didnât like fire, and luckily, fire liked him.
Isa had wondered, more than once, if the berserkersâ aversion to fire had come from the frustration with Axel that SaĂŻx had been feeling at the time of their genesis. Had it been frustration? Resentment? Bitterness? Regardless of the nature of the thing, he remembered that fire had made him feel sick for months, ever since that which existed between them had started to crumple under the weight of betrayal, both perceived and actualized. Maybe that was it.
Or, Isa thought now as he looked at Lea, maybe it had just been that heâd missed him. And what an unexpected joy it was, to be able to use the past tense.
Lea picked his way over and looked at him with an odd expression. âSeems like a strange time to smile,â he said.
âIâŠâ Isa shrugged, the smile widening to a grin. âI think IâmâŠhappy.â
âSeems like aâŠweird place to be happy.â
Isa opened his mouth, thought for a moment, then closed it.
âWhat?â Lea waited. âIsa, what?â
âNothing. Nothing, itâsânothing.â
âOh, hey, thatâs not fair.â
âI almost said something veryâdonât concern yourself.â
âWhat, youâre worried about what you say to me now?â
He laughed. âYou have a point there.â
âAnd?â
Isa sighed. âJust thatâŠany place is the right place to be happy when youâre there.â
Lea stared at him, dumbfounded. Isa was looking firmly at the ground, and he couldnât tell if he was blushing or just still flushed from the fight. It was almost impossible to equate this with the man who had been laughing at the rush of violence earlier, and yet.
And yet.
Isa looked up at him somewhat sheepishly when Lea reached for his hand.
âYouâve got a weird idea of timing, you know that?â
âWell.â Isa chuckled. âPoint of no return, right?â
âI think itâs sweet.â
âOh, do you now?â
âMhm.â His smile faded as he glanced up at the castle, and the path to it they were meant to be taking. âAndâŠIâm not letting anything happen to you up there. Point of no return or not, youâre coming back in one piece. Got it memorized?â
âGot itâhmph.â Isa shook his head, smirking.
âIf you think Iâm letting you do anything reckless then you really are stupid.â
âReckless?â He laughed again. âYouâre calling me reckless?â
âIâm just sayingââ
âIâll make it out for you if you make it out for me. We went over this.â
Lea brushed the strands of hair that had come loose from his braid out of Isaâs face. It was holding up well, he thought. The plait had held just like he had told Isa it would when he offered to do it the night before. Isa had laughed a little at that, the smile breaking through the worry in his eyes.
âI remember,â he said finally.
And it struck him like a sledgehammer to the chest, how badly he wanted that worry to fade forever. He wanted Isa to smile and smile and say stupid romantic things and not flinch every time he was touched.
He had been through enough.
âIf he tries to hurt you again,â Lea said softly, looking hard into Isaâs eyes, âIâll eat his fucking heart.â
It was the closest thing to I love you Isa had ever heard Lea say out loud.
âYou had better not kill him before I get the chance to kick his ass,â he said. âOr Iâll kick yours to make up the difference.â
âThatâs fair.â Lea looked up. âWe should probablyâŠâ
âYes, we should.â He started forward, then paused. âLeaâŠâ
âYeah?â
âHow lucky do you feel?â
Lea blinked. He looked down at Isa.
âVery,â he said, before taking Isaâs face in his hands the same way he always had and kissing him hard the same way he always had, his skin still too hot like it had always been.
Then Isa found himself kissing a smile, and it was the strangest thing in the world, to have it feel so natural to be this happy in the middle of a war zone. Â
But it did, and they were. And they would be tomorrow, Isa thought, and the next day, and the next. He would make sure of that.
âWell, you know,â Lea breathed, âyou could always use a little more luck.â

2. the fact that he just. zero reaction when he sees lea after they wake up. no animosity whatsoever. like last time you saw this dude he was contentedly watching the life drain out of you and youâre just. heâs like shrug emoji whatâs a little betrayal and murder between friends. there being no grudge is extra god tier when you remember how appalled he was by the betrayals in the first place. and yet heâs completely friendly and normal. just completely going about his goth nerd business. i would die for him
3. i love ienzos STUPID VISION OBSCURING GOTH HAIR
least favorite thing about them
he can low key be a hypocrite esp when it came to objecting to marluxia etc using namine against sora but he then proceeded to basically use an illusion of sora/his feelings of guilt surrounding sora to manipulate riku likeâŠ..zexion baby things arenât magically justified when youâre doing them yourself i still love u though

âyou think you can be forgiven?â and âyou brought it upon yourselfâ because likeâŠâŠ.are you condemning your opponent or yourself? do you even know?
brOTP
lea because itâs justâŠitâs catharsis ienzo appears to already have forgiven lea somehow i think he could be a very important voice for lea to hear telling him to forgive himself. and theyâre both shitbabies. and theyâre 2 of my favorite characters and iâm selfish. combine your powers assholes
also roxas because i always imagined them as friends and that it contributed to ienzo committing to help bring him back, & relatedly ventusÂ
OTP
tbh i donât really have one, ienzos kinda off doing his own thing. i support ienzo x safety and happiness
nOTP
please for the love of god donât ever put zexion with vexen. i shouldnt even have to say this never ever ever ive never been cursed with it personally but i know how people are on this site. if you do this i summon a flock of turtledoves to dive bomb your location killing you instantly
random headcanon
he conjures little spectral animals to keep him company when heâs up working late at night or canât sleep (which I also imagine is a common issue for him). doves and foxes are his favorites. he also sings to himself when heâs alone because certain kinds of silence make him edgy but heâs self conscious about it and will shut himself up instantly if he thinks anyone is even remotely within earshot
unpopular opinion
god i donât know if i have any unpopular opinions about him. i blame white ansem one hundred percent for what happened to ienzo if that counts

those are just the most notable recently i have a whole spotify playlist for him though lol
favorite picture of them
this is my fav picture of all time of zexion because it radiates pure chaotic shitbaby vibes
and my favorite of ienzo is a gif because this particular head tilt is very important to me
iâve made a post about this before but i love what a walking contradiction he is, like heâs always going on about how nobodies donât have emotions, nobodies donât feel friendship, etc etc but then he turns around and 1. is clearly deeply hurt when he feels like axel doesnât consider their friendship to be important anymore 2. he is a BERSERKER a battle style that relies on VERY INTENSE EMOTION namely ANGER like ok saix just because ur repressing your emotions doesnât mean they arenât there
he clearly feels things very deeply and has a complicated relationship with that and i like that about him
least favorite thing about them
he deals in absolutes and i think heâs so smart but he just doesnât think of other options as possibilities once heâs decided to go somewhere with something. like, axel is friends with roxas now and heâs acting weird so he hates me and our past means nothing to him. oh axelâs gone now so xemnas is my only option for moving forward. he doesnât seem to be able to change his mind about things once past a certain point and like mood but i donât like that about myself either

idk i feel like saix and zexion would understand one another fairly well at least before things started to get ugly between all the nobodies given that they are the only two members of org xiii with like more than 3 brain cells between them. like we never really got to see them interact but i feel like the sheer sardonic potential would be off the shits & isa and ienzo being friends in general is good content
also kind of have a soft spot for isa and de-norted terra being friends after everything is over because they can relate to one another re: having been possessed by the sociopath raisin and itâd be interesting to see which parts of him isa finds familiar and which completely changed once he has access to his heart again/gets rid of xehanortâs influence entirely
OTP
wow i wonder what it is anyway lea and isa are married
nOTP
not a fan of saix/xemnas idk like i see where people come from w that but i feel like 1. xemnas being the primary vessel through which xehanort manipulates saix makes it inherently unhealthy to begin with 2. xemnas/terranort v2/whatever u wanna go with is too out of it to be getting down w anyone imo 3. the power imbalance is.......bad. anyway like i said saix is in love w axel and even considering xemnas as a rebound makes me go big think emoji in bold font. dont like that
random headcanon
sad one you already know about which is that his scar came from an escape attempt and xigbar marked him in order to deter him from doing so again/to track him if he did
nice one is that when lea and isa were dumb teenagers they gave each other amateur moon and sun tattoos like silly little stick and pokes and saix still has his right there on his ankle & he pretends to say itâs an artifact of a childish impulse but secretly he loves it
unpopular opinion
saix did nothing wrong
also lea shouldnât save him, saix should snap back into isa at a critical moment to save lea
