Well I am still out of surfing action. Â This effinâ WRIST is really bringing me down. Â What else is there to do besides drown my sorrows in cold, delicious beer?
For those of you who donât know me, there are 2 things every friend would say about me.
1.  I am cheap (I prefer âfrugalâ but I donât get to choose, do I?)
2. I am a social activities planner
So when a cheap and fun activity crosses my radar I am ON it. Â One of my favorite activities in San Francisco is the Anchor Steam brewery tour. Â Itâs totally free, lasts 45 minutes and ends in a free drinking session where you can sample all the beers. Â Iâve now been 3 times, and Iâm not getting bored. Â You have to call a couple months in advance for the choice times. Â I needed 3 months to get 10 people (the max) in for the 1pm Friday tour. Â But, hey, if youâre an unemployed shlob or a tourist in town then that Tuesday 10am tour is probably open!

They are geniuses because they have completely bought my loyalty. Â I always have Anchor in my fridge. Â Itâs one of my favorite beers and produced in the heart of the city I love. Â When youâre done, head on over to Goat Hill Pizza to try some of that za with sourdough crust. Â Yum! Â Youâll need to soak it up to be able to drive home.
*OY!! I just found out they are now charging $15 pp for the tour. Â Itâs totally worth that. Â Youâre drinking over $20 worth of beer at the end so get on over there!
