Greetings to all Transformers fans! Beta is here once again!
Today I watched to compare and analyse two cybertronian characters from Transformers franchise! They are Bluestreak - sharpshooter, talker bot from city of Praxus!
Also Punch - unusual triple changer with good acting talents, bot of Harmonex city!
So here's the similarities between Bluestreak and Punch! Here we go :
1 - both characters name is based on some phrases. Bluestreak's name came from not because sometimes he's blue, because he's 'TALKING A BLUESTREAK' which means he talks to much. (And this is actually got a very specific reason for Bluestreak's psyche! More on that later!)
Punch's name was a bit mystery to me until I found out that he have other persona named Counterpunch and that actually "PACKS A PUNCH" here! (This double personality also came up with some high cost! So keep reading!)
2 - Both of them lost their home cities...
Bluestreak in G1 was sole survivor when his city Praxus was destroyed... Megatron spared him so Bluestreak could tell this tyrant's cruel tale... And that almost broke the poor guy... Other Praxians that alive in different continuities are except Bluestreak - Prowl, Smokescreen and Barricade!
Praxus destroyed by decepticons because it was a rich, powerful city and cons wanted to prove their power by obliterating Praxus...
Punch was citizen of Harmonex the Singing City on Cybertron! Harmonex where it serves as a center for art and learning. It holds within it lithic crystals that sing in perfect harmonic frequency. But decepticons found this city a minor threat and turned it into dust and rubble according to the "Of Masters and Mayhem" story!
3 - both Bluestreak and Punch suffers some sort of trauma/condition after their home cities' destruction. Bluestreak constantly talks so he won't go insane, and Punch got DID - Dissociative Identity Disorder resulting the existence of Counterpunch!
4 - Bluestreak and Punch/Counterpunch also members of Combiner Team!
Bluestreak, Counterpunch, Impactor, Toxitron and Fractyl combines into Wreckage! This is a long story so if you're interested, you can check Combiner Wars related media or something...
Wreckage was arch nemesis of Thunder Mayhem combiner! Despite consisting of mixed faction bots and their personalities, Wreckage managed to defeat this Thunder Mayhem for good!
