GUYS IDK WHO MADE THE OG POST; BUT SOMEBODY SAID "what if the alnst characters were trans"
Okay so imagine if the aliens were more of a symbolism for the transphobes, and the alien stage is how in the media trans men and women are often put against each other. Mizi's 'True face' comic is her coming to terms with her identity while suffering the difficulties of being a trans woman, Sua who she finds to be feminine and more delicate than her Mizi idk feels kind of jealous but also captivated thus wanting to crush her. As they get older Mizi in her song 'Witch' is singing about how she was outcast from women's space for not being 'A real woman.' I don't think Mizi will ever get the comfort she deserves, but it'll slowly come. "DON'T be afraid hold my hand— mademoiselle" What if this specific line is her trying to reach out to that feminity she holds and cling to it, so desperate to prove to the world she's a real woman just as much as the cis girlies (Also lowk sorry if I sound dumb, I don't know how to articulate this) "Loved by everyone? Even god makes mistakes..." This line is Mizi reaching out for validation from anyone wanting to feel like she belonged, but as we know people frequently like to tell us being trans is 'wrong' and how trans people are the 'Devil'
Sua; Sua is described to be 'doll like' What if her song 'Heart' is her singing about how she knew deep in her heart she was always a girl even when she was a 'guy' and that one line where she says "Filthy as hell" I'm thinking how people around her when she first came to turns with being trans told her she only wanted to be a girl because she was attracted to the female body, and the first line of the song "Mine, empty mind" what if that's her expressing her confusion and how she felt trying to come to terms with herself? Especially with the state of the world right now.
Till; I don't know what to say about him, but what if the scars comic was him transitioning and dealing with not only the emotional but physical scars? And later the 'Remember everything ' comic is actually how he found support and was able to move past the hate, and criticism. HEAR ME OUT TOO— what if the hallucination of Ivan isn't actually Ivan but it's Toll before he transitioned, and he's currently stuck in this state of mind that he'll never be a 'Real man' Every time he looks in the mirror he sees feminine features, everytime he speaks he's unsatisfied with his voice (hint hint at the mutism? 👀) His song 'Scars' Would probably be about the support and love he got from his friends. ALSO DEWEY CUTTING HIS HAIR IS ACTUALLY SYMBOLIC OF TILL CUTTING HIS HAIR SHORT TO LOOK MORE MASCULINE (I actually like boys w long hair tho) TRUST GUYS.
Ivan; Parasite, his song parasite in this context lets say it's not about Till. "My secret... Bury it, deep within my heart." Ivan would be closeted, only a few close friends would know (Mizi, Sua and Till) but to the others he'd hide it, "Carve it into my painful existence" Ivan isn't an exception from the cruelty trans men and women face in the world, let's say 'Parasite' is him being called a literal parasite. I feel like Ivan would be brought up in a religious household so when he came out as trans of course it didn't go well; he's supposed to be the perfect 'Daughter' He was infected with the trans 'disease' by a parasite that burrowed within his brain planting these 'sick' ideas in his head. His song 'Nowhere' is about how he was kind of outcast from his family and of course the world for his identity "In the dark city lights, I can't find anyone." Symbolizing how alone he felt despite the big city. "No one cares about someone like him" Basically erasing his worth as a person, by grouping him instead of putting him with the general population of people. Kind of reflecting how society likes to erase trans narratives and pretend they don't matter or how they're lesser than us.
Hyuna; Hear me out, she doesn't have a twin brother. Hyunwoo is more of a symbolism of her male counterpart before she transitioned. Hyunwoo 'dying' is her rebirth and growing as a person feeling comfortable in her skin, and learning to love herself. Now the song 'Take my hand' lets incorporate that. "A child blooming in despair, destined to be trampled." Hyuna discovering herself, but unfortunately roses have thorns. The line "Destined to be trampled." Reflects how trans people are crushed for existing, how they're put down, or taken advantage of. How they're punished just for existing. "This song resonates in the burning lies." Representing her voice, but the 'burning lies' is how people try to flip the narrative, how trans people are portrayed in the media as 'Aggressive', 'perverted', 'wrong', ect. "This song resonates even in the dark night." I like to believe this would, stand for how even when the world tries to tear them down there's always somebody out there who gets inspired and feels strong enough to fight for their rights or to come out. I'd believe the rebellion base is Hyuna's way of making a safe place for all sorts of people no matter their age, gender, sexuality, religion, ect.
Luka; Luka is an interesting one, in my opinion. As he's portrayed as 'Manipulative' I think the way he tried to 'manipulate' Till and Mizi isn't out of cruel malice but jealousy; I know a few closeted people who've taken their frustrations out on those who are out openly expressing themselves and feeling very bitter about it. Obviously it's not right. In wiege Hyuna telling Luka "Live with love" is almost like his awakening, "Hand me your flame, so that I can feel it." Is Luka reaching out for a piece of courage, to feel connected or like he belongs to a group; as I'd like to believe Luka would be confused about his identity or even have questions. He wouldn't know if he's cis or trans, but he would learn to accept not just himself; but others.
Sua's song 'Bon Bon Jellyfish' would be her happiness for the group of friends she's made, and how they've built a strong bond over the hardships and similarities. "I don’t want to be alone, I’ll leave this place today. Starlight bubbles wave and call my name if I follow, through the Milky Way. Sparkling lights are waiting there for me friends who shine where I should be!" Them leaving behind the place that once isolated them and made them feel different, deciding they should live true to themselves. The stars represent hope and kinship, finding people who shin just as bright as you! "Finally, we’re free" They've all left behind the old past, and started looking ahead, making new memories as their freshly transitioned selves. Of course they'd still face the occasional backlash, or have bad days; but at least they'll be together. Since bon bon jellyfish is very childish, I like to imagine they dress up as the little stars— while Mizi's obviously the jellyfish, and they just feed their inner child.
Honestly this randomly came to me in the shower, also I'm sorry if it didn't really make sense lol. I'm hoping the vision is there anyway! But if you have more fun ideas for this; please please let me know hehe.
