Bleh, it’s Monday
Another Monday is here, this morning has not been the greatest, and I will probably go home in a bit as I feel like total crap between a headache and nausea. The weekend was great though, Saturday some of the Mini club went to OKC and we attended a car show. Couple weeks ago was the Midtown Minis cruise to Hulburt and Okay, I actually went to bed at a reasonable time that Friday and got up early on the 21st. Got my good DSLR, my action cams, and camp chair in Misty, made myself some coffee and headed out. First stop was the car wash, I didn’t go through the automatic, and problems started after I got my change. The bay I chose had mechanical room issues, then the next bay, and finally the 3rd bay was good. Got Misty rinsed off and then headed to my next stop. I meet friends at Brookside By Day and had some breakfast. It was good seeing them and chatting for a bit. Done with breakfast it was off to my next stop. Caffeine and Gasoline was that morning, which is a car show of sorts. A few of us from the Mini club were there showing off our cars. I got a few pictures I have included in this post at the bottom. I left a bit early from the car show and went to Bass Pro and picked up some stuff for a family friend in Denmark, and to burn more time went and hung out in my office at work, watched some anime and worked on a computer I’m resurrecting. With the time burned it was time to head to meet the club for the cruise at Reasors in Broken Arrow. There were about 10 or so cars in the cruise, and a few of the folks were from OK Mini in Oklahoma City! We road trained to Hulburt, and waited for a few as a local cop had drove down the way we wanted to go. He came back by at a high rate of speed going the other way, and we proceeded on the fun part of the drive from Hulburt to the Fort Gibson Dam on Highway 80. I cut together the dash cam videos of both runs and you can find them on this post! We stopped for a bit at the dam, then went to a really good Diner in Okay called “Martins”, and had a great lunch/dinner. From there the group split, some went home, and some went for another pass on Highway 80. Didn’t do much the rest of the weekend after leaving Hulburt. Went home and went to bed, and tried to deal with the laptop, which is working again after getting reimaged with windows 10.

Was a busy weekend, feel like I burned the candle at both ends. Woke up early Saturday and started packing for my work trip to Dallas this week. Stopped by a friends and swapped side mirrors, they were going to use their Mini on the track this weekend and the driver wanted normal mirrors.
