– SUE HER FOR NOT BEING IN THE MOOD TO CHAT, especially not with miss fancy-government-job-got-my-life-together over here. “ if you’re gonna chew me out, might as well get on with it, ” claire says, stepping over some flowers. she can imagine lou has already imparted her judgement on caden, so might as well line up. “ otherwise, i’m on my way out. ” it’s early to call it, but she’s not exactly feeling like partying. 

– CLAIRE DOESN’T REALLY EXPECT A CHANCE TO TALK TO LOU when they’re in the same clandestine operations class – after all, jo and rowan are ALSO in it, but claire’s just trying not to sit by levi, so she’ll make any other seating arrangement work. claire catches up with her as they’re leaving class. “ say ANYTHING about the pics of me in mickey ears and i’ll punt you across the grounds, cabot, ” claire warns, “ however, i do have photos of me riding a horse like a professional, so. ” she sounds out every syllable of ‘professional’ for emphasis, arching her brow. “ what did you think of the class ? ” 

– “DON’T KNOW ABOUT YOU, BUT I’M KIND OF IN THE MOOD FOR SOMETHING DANGEROUS RIGHT NOW,” she kicks one of the school’s motorcycles with the point of her combat boot, forgoing the helmet for today. “besides, you taught me how to ride a horse. figured i could teach you to ride something a little more practical, if you’re up for it,” claire offers, swinging her leg over the seat of the bike. she knows lou will have the same kind of mindset as her – keep busy and get better. because when they come again, and they will, claire’s not about to let anyone else fall victim.
