My first Paralives build Part 2:
Every time I thought I was done I got a new idea for another structure to build. One of these was a greenhouse I'm quite proud of. I basically just made four walls, covered them in windows, then used advanced transform to put even more windows together until they made a roof. I don't even like gardening, but I just thought it would look cute.
I spent so long building and rebuilding this deck because it looked like ass with a huge cutout to accommodate a straight staircase until I figured out how to make one with a 90 degree turn, but I couldn't be bothered to put anything up there except a trash can. Part of my vision was having cats and having litter boxes on both floors so when they're old and their knees are bad they don't have to going up or downstairs to get to their bathroom. Same reason why I wanted bathrooms for humans on both floors. Anyway, the idea here was that I could throw cat litter into the trash can on the deck and then carry the trash down the stairs and drop it in the trash nook, which would make it a lot more bearable than having to go all the way to the garage to throw out the litter. If this were really my dream home I'd have an elevator, but the game doesn't have those yet.
Also, ignore the floating picture frame, I didn't notice that was there while I was taking most of these pictures.
I placed a cabinet downstairs next to the kitchen and a couple of lockers at the end of the hall upstairs to represent utility closets where I'd keep two vacuums, because I am absolutely not dragging one vacuum up or down all those stairs.
Love that I had a space to do laundry on the same floor as the master bedroom so I don't have to carry laundry up and down the stairs.
Gotta have a mirror in my shower so I can see myself when I'm applying hair dye.
Originally I had a guest bath and on en-suite bath since I hadn't yet figured out how to squeeze in the half-bath downstairs. After I deleted the guest bath I thought I might as well make an extra large en-suite bath with an actual bathtub. But all the tubs in Paralives are so enormous they always seemed to either clip into the walls or just not leave enough room for anything else I wanted no matter how I tried to reconfigure everything. But having a bath was never part of the original plan, because I don't really take baths. So I ditched that idea in favor of a walk-in closet.
In my mind, everywhere that mirror with a shelf appears, it's actually a cabinet and the mirror is actually a door with an art print on the front.
You can tell this game is European by the style of the light switches and outlets, which I tried to place everywhere that seemed realistic for them to be.
Back when I had two bathrooms the bedroom entryway was longer and narrower, and I thought it'd be the perfect place to put a litter box so you wouldn't see it most of the time while you were in the bedroom, but you could see it on the way out and it'd be easy to take the litter out to the trash can on the deck.
In the final version I added a little archway with the idea that it could be a closet if someone wanted it to be.
I was glad I could make a walk-in closet work after getting rid of the second bathroom because I have cats and a lot of clothes and I hate folding. So I need a lot of closed storage where I can hang things.
The wall cabinet is where I imagine my jewelry going. I placed 3 hampers together because this game doesn't have a laundry sorter.
Realistically, I probably wouldn't have a bed this big, but this is the smallest you can make it before the two pillows turn into one long pillow, and I just thought it looked better this way.
No duel monitor desktop set-up in this game, but at least I can make it aesthetic as fuck. If you look closely you can see that I placed a blanket on the desk chair because I am always cold.
Bay window baby! Perfect little nook to cuddle with kitties and bask in the sun. Also where I placed a vanity.
The game only lets you place windows on walls and doesn't consider roof pieces to be walls, so I had to use advanced transform to place these windows. I made a half-hearted attempt at building an attic, but I just didn't care enough to try to make it work. Because there was nowhere else for the TV to go except above the fireplace, I'm picturing that fireplace as electric, but I still placed a chimney for aesthetic purposes.
