Jellal comenzaba a desesperarse.

Sneak peak at something I'm writing for @grayserigala I promise I didn't forget!!!
Natsu has been staring at him recently and itâs unsettling Gray. Maybe he doesnât like my hair? He quickly dismisses the thought. Natsu never cared about hair. It doesnât take long before Natsu shows up at his house. His warm hands shove Grayâs tired body back into the house. He falls asleep with Natsuâs hands in his hair. He wakes up with a beautiful elaborate braid in his hair.
His dark hair is weaved in an artistic style that keeps the horrible strands out of his eyes. He knows the style of braid, Dravic braids are all extremely tight and loose at the same time. His thoughts wonder slightly, wanting to know what they represent.
Shrugging he goes to the guild with his new hair style. Natsu smiles at the sight of him and Gajeel wacks the other on the shoulder. â I canât believe you did it. â Gajeel hisses in Natsu's ear but Gray just rolls his eyes. Settling down right next to Natsu without a care. Gajeel wonât stop staring at him and with an irritated expression he flips the braid over one shoulder and glares at the dragon slayer.
Wendy stares at Gray as well when heâs leaving for a meeting. He is tired of people staring. At the council they stare like children. â I didnât know you were Dravic. â the council member is someone Gray doesnât even remember. He stares at them with the deadest expression he can manage. â Iâm not. â he growls, eyes narrowing. Everyone stops and looks at them. Doran speaks up after that. â Natsu is Dravic and Natsu is also Grayâs best friend. â He explains without missing a beat.
â He also tends to braid peopleâs hair when itâs long. â Dorain lies smoothly and Gray nods slightly. â Either way itâs none of your business. â He says it calmly with malice. The council member doesnât talk to them after that. Gray heads back to the guild while he has time. Checking in with Mirajane so Master Makarov doesnât get concerned. His team is gone, likely off on a job. Itâs Mirajane who leans towards him and asks if he is dating Natsu.
He blinks before saying no, eyeing the other confused. â I was just asking because the braids he put in your hair means I love you. â she mentions without pausing in cleaning a cup.
Beware it's going to be LONG A F.
EDIT: I have posted the link will shove one in the notes because Tumblr nukes posts with links in them
Thank you to @sing-in-me-oh-muse for tagging me! I have a whole bunch, most of them unpublished.
Already Published:Â
Breaking Down (ML salt fic) : Tikki sees Marinette sad and is out for revenge. Letâs hope someone talks her out of it. Iâm getting there so nearly done. Involves salt to Marinetteâs parents and Lila, though there may be some redemption coming, possibly. Iâm very conflicted about that.
Past and Future Demigods Put Together to Read (PJO read the books fic): Exactly what the title says. Percy and a few others go way back in time, nearly 2 millennia, to read some books. 2 chapters away from completion!...of the first book that is. No continuations promised as of now.
To Publish/Write: I have so many of these itâs not even funny
 Midsummer Nightâs Dream AU (ML AU fic): Slight variations to the play to fit it to the ML-verse. Also has no miraculous involved.
Untitled Miraculous Writerâs Guild October Event Fic: A collab fic, with October themed fun! Mainly carving pumpkins with Love Square shenanigans.
Remember Everything (Miraculous Fanworks October Challenge Fic): Though this may end up being done much later. A sad songfic set during Chat Blanc; Chat Blanc-centric. The song is by Five Finger Death Punch so if you know it chances are you can guess what the fic will be about. Just pure sadness.
Leporiphobia (PJO fic): A crack fic Iâm working on because I got inspired when I reread The Last Olympian for the umpteenth time. Grover is deadly afraid of bunnies and Percy did promise to talk about it later. Later has come. No clue how thatâs going to happen though, itâs sitting half done.
Untitled PJO + FT Crossover: Lucyâs Celestial Spirits are all constellations and all of those constellations have stories from Greek Mythology. Thatâs the basis of the fic anyways, it gets more into gods vs humans and all that fun stuff.Â
Why Lucy Joined Fairy Tail: Thatâs the working title anyways. Everyone else in the guild has a story on why they joined Fairy Tail but nobody knows Lucyâs. Based off of OVA 3 because if no one else will write this then I guess I will.
Natsu is Petty (FT fic): Also working title. Iâll come up with something better I promise. Modern AU fic, where Gajeel is Natsuâs cousin and Gray is his best friend. Even though Natsu hangs out with both of them all the time, neither has ever met, until now. Of course, when setting it up Natsu perceives dumb stuff as insults and decides to prank them. I just havenât figured out what that prank should be.

Clack. Clack. Clack. Juviaâs boots clunked over the wet brick as she slowly descended the steps of the Hargeon Town train station. The drumming of the rain was steady against her umbrella that she held primly over her head. She did not look up as two girls holding their small bags over their heads hurried past, complaining loudly about the fact that the rain had seemingly followed them the entire train ride; Juviaâs indigo eyes remained fixed on the countless puddles before her, transfixed and disgusted with the way the ripples bloomed across their sheer surfaces. The raindrops flew down endlessly in a constant stream that would be calming to individuals lounging inside their homes waiting for the rain to pass. Juvia almost pitied them, because they would be stuck inside a very long time at that rate. Until she left this town, the rain would not cease; that was the curse that she, the rain woman, wrought upon the world.
For once, however, Juvia could admit that her rain served purpose. The damp, wet atmosphere would surely suit perfectly to douse the fire of one Fairy Tail mage named âthe Salamander.â
Juvia knew not how Bora came to calling himself that name. The last she had heard, he had been excommunicated from his former guild for the use of illegal magic and thievery. She also knew not why Fairy Tail, a supposedly upstanding guild, would hire him, unless he had somehow managed to hide his shady pastimes. Juvia was also not sure what had compelled her to come to Hargeon Town. Was she seeking revenge for the way he had so unceremoniously and callously dumped her? Was she here to reveal his nefarious nature for Fairy Tail to see, or, alternatively, reveal Fairy Tailâs shady underbelly to the world? Or even, was she here to see if all of this was just some vain attempt of his to upset her, by flaunting how successful he was while she was still alone and depressed? Perhaps none of them, or perhaps a combination of all of them. Juvia supposed that she would discover her reasoning once she was actually face-to-face with the man.
The streets were largely clear as Juvia strolled through them, thanks to the perpetual rain pouring from the heavens above. Her expression soured a little as she considered the possibility that the weather would drive Bora inside as well, which would make confronting him all the more difficult. As she paused in the middle of the street to articulate her next move, the drumming of the rain was suddenly overtaken by very furious slapping footsteps. The sound was coming from behind her; as she turned, leaning the umbrella back to get a good look at the perpetrator, someone zoomed past her at such speed that a wall of water was what was greeted her instead. She squeaked loudly as she was splashed with rainwater from head-to-toe; Juvia could absorb it and was more surprised than affronted. As she used her magic to do just that, there was a loud screeching noise, and she looked up to see a pink-haired individual rapidly back-tracking to stand in front of her.
âWhoa! Sorry about that. Didnât mean to drench ya!â
Juvia had to admit, a faint blush rose to her cheeks from how absolutely stunning his smile was. It was so bright that she thought for a moment that the sun had actually come out and she instinctively looked up; however, the sky was still choked with ashen gray clouds, not a ray of sunlight slipping through the thick barrier. She glanced back down to see that he was now a mere few inches from her face, green eyes boring into hers. âWait a second, whereâd the water go? What kinda magic is that?!â he demanded with steam blowing out of his nostrils.
âJuvia is a water mage,â she answered simply. His pink eyebrows quirked before he nodded emphatically in admiration.
âNeat, neat! I guess itâs a good thing I splashed you instead of anyone else!â he laughed lightheartedly. It was then that she noticed that the man did not have an umbrella on his person and was just running about getting drenched in the rain. His salmon hair was plastered to his forehead, and water was running down his face in rivulets to drip down from his chin. His clothes were sodden and probably a few shades darker than they normally were.
âYouâll catch cold running around in the rain like this.â
âNah, donât worry about me,â he said while waving a hand dismissively. Juvia flushed darkly, for some reason very stimulated by the fact he brushed off the rain when everyone else she had ever known had griped about it being such an inconvenience. He doesnât mind it⌠He then planted it above his eyebrows and because looking about wildly, squatting low to the ground as he inspected every nook and cranny in sight. âIâm on a mission, ya see, to track down this fella callinâ himself the Salamander!â From the way he was huffing and puffing, it was not because he was a fan.
âJuvia is also looking for this fire mage.â The boy straightened up like a rod to look at her with wide eyes. Another grin then split his face like a sunbeam.
âReally?! Well, why donât we look for him together, then? Three pairs oâ eyes is better than two, yeah?â Juvia narrowed her eyebrows quizzically, but before she could call his intelligence into question, a pair of blue cat ears poked up over his broad shoulder. This was followed by the head of a cat and its paw, waving in greeting.
âAye, aye! Letâs get looking, because the sooner we find him, the sooner we can eat!â He purred contentedly.
âIt talks.â
âYep! This is my buddy Happy, and Iâm Natsu. Youâre Juvia, right?â She nodded. âGreat! Nice ta meetcha!â he chirped and grabbed her hand to shake it vigorously. His hand was warm. Incredibly so. Juvia felt the blooming sensation travel up her arm, like she was dipping it into a lovely bath. Natsu⌠Normally Juvia did not concern herself with others, especially when she had a specific mission in mind, but there was just something so⌠gripping about this young man. She gripped the fabric of her overcoat above her heart, feeling it flutter within. Juvia has not felt this way since BoraâŚ
She was not sure if it was a portent of doom or an omen foretelling better days. Only time would tell.
âLetâs get going, shall we?â Natsu whirled on his heel to begin splashing along down the road, humming cheerfully. Juvia hurried to catch up to him and then extended the umbrella so that it would shield him as well. He was a bit taller than her, so she had to stretch her arms up to do so, and she was almost embarrassed at how quickly her biceps began to burn at the awkward angle. Regardless of what he says, Juvia does not want him to become ill because of her rain, she thought miserably. He looked down at her with upturned eyebrows. âYou donât have to. Iâm okay.â
âPlease. Juvia wants to share.â
âThatâs really nice of you!â he smiled brightly. âThat looks uncomfortable, though; lemme help.â She gasped lightly as he plucked the umbrella right out of her hands to hold it up himself. Juvia wasnât used to not holding it, so her hand automatically slipped to clutch his forearm where it was bent at a ninety-degree angle; once she realized what she was doing, her face flushed tomato-red, but honestly his muscles felt so nice and defined under her petite hand that she shamelessly kept doing so. Natsu didnât seemed to mind; in fact, he seemed pretty much oblivious to it. âThatâs better, huh?â he grinned down at her.
âAye, aye! Thanks for the umbrella, Juvia!â Happy sighed as he crawled up onto Natsuâs shoulder. He then proceeded to squat down and shake himself from the top of his head to the tip of his tail, splattering Natsu with raindrops. The boy jumped as they painted the side of his head and face.
âHey, hey, hey, watch it, will ya?â he whined loudly as he tilted his head to try and shake the drops out of his ears. Juvia could not help but giggle at their amusing antics. They get along so well⌠âYeesh⌠Iâm starving,â Natsu whined all of a sudden and clutched his growling belly with his free hand. âI canât wait to find this Salamander guy and then get some grub.â
âDo you know who he is?â
âNope. All I know is heâs calling himself the Salamander. Iâm hoping heâs my master, Igneel!â At the mention of his name, Natsuâs green eyes began to sparkle. He looked so overjoyed at the prospect that Juvia wrestled with crushing his hopes, but she did not wish to see him incredibly upset when he discovered the true identity of the fire mage.
âActually⌠He is a mage named Bora.â
âWhat?!â Natsu stopped in his tracks to look poutily at her. âYou mean we came all this way for nothing? Aw, man⌠And I was so hopinâ I would get to see Igneel again,â he griped aloud. Juvia looked down at her feet miserably. Should she have not told him?
âJuvia is sorry to have to be the one to tell youâŚâ
âNah, itâs okay,â he sighed deeply. She peered out of the corners of her eyes to see him rubbing his neck and smiling gratefully down at her. âI âpreciate it. It woulda been a bummer to come all this way and it be just some random dude. I guess me ân Happy should grab some grub and then head back to Fairy Tail.â
âYou are from Fairy Tail?â
âThatâs right!â he snickered and turned to show off his bright pink guild mark on his upper arm.
âThen that must mean Bora is not a member of Fairy Tail.â As she had suspected, he was abusing the guildâs name to build clout. What could he possibly be up to? Juvia was busy considering the possibilities and did not notice that he had closed the distance between them again; after a second, her eyes registered his brilliant green ones centimeters away, and her face turned redder than ever.
âWhat? Whatâre you talkinâ about?â
âRumor has it that Salamander is a Fairy Tail mage. Bora has been calling himself by this name. Juvia knows Bora well; he is not a very good man. He has gotten in trouble for many bad thingsâŚâ Natsuâs eyes narrowed into sharp peaks as he stiffly straightened back up. His grip tightened so hard around the umbrellaâs handle that his knuckles glared white and she feared the plastic may splinter.
âSo thatâs it, huh? Well, I canât stand by while somebody is tarnishinâ our good name. I think this calls for an ass-kickinâ, donâtcha agree, Happy?!â The cat trilled in agreement over his shoulder. âIâm all fired up now!â His grin was absolutely feral, but something about it filled Juvia with excitement. She barely knew him, but somehow she felt as if she could follow him to the ends of the Earth. Her heart began to pound wildly in her chest again, and despite her many wills, it refused to still.
NatsuâŚ
âIt is very good fortune that Juvia met you today,â she remarked with a tiny smile.
âNah,â Natsu said nonchalantly. For a second her heart threatened to break at his dismissiveness, but when she looked up at him, he was smiling broadly. âI donât believe in luck! Letâs call it destiny! When weâre done here, you should totally come back to Fairy Tail with me, Juvia!â he offered. Juviaâs eyes widened as she stared at him in shock. Juvia⌠Join Fairy Tail? Her fingers were twisting so hard into her overcoat that she felt she could tear the thick, cottony fabric. She was so⌠happy. Juvia could not the last time she felt that emotion so purely and strongly.
âYes⌠Juvia will gladly come to Fairy Tail!â she cried and nodded emphatically.
âGreat! Ass-kickinâ first, though.â
âYes!â
~~~~~~~~~~
They tracked Bora to a cruise liner docked at the port. It took a lot of convincing to prevent Natsu from charging in fires-a-burninâ, but she managed to convince him to do so. Apparently, Bora had been seen courting a large group of ladies and they had all migrated onto the ship. Juvia had several ideas about why Bora would be so interested in women, and none of them sat well with her. One peek through the windows validated her concerns; throughout the dining hall there were woman slumped over tables or collapsed on the floor with half-finished drinks still in their hands. They were casually discarded as men in suits hauled them off into another room.
âHuman traffickingâŚâ Juvia murmured under her breath.
âWhat a buncha bastards,â Natsu growled in agreement. âI canât stand by and watch this anymore!â Before Juvia could rebuke him, he punched through the window to charge into the room, bright fire alighting all over his arms. She cried aloud and looked around wildly, unsure of what to do, before she decided to hop into the interior of the ship after him. Natsu had already slammed the two lackeys into the wall to knock them unconscious and was now plowing through the wooden door breathing fire. âCome out, you asshole! I know youâre in here!â
âI would appreciate it if you stopped making a mess of my ship,â sighed a voice from behind Juvia. The two mages whirled on their feet to see Bora holding a squirming blonde by her wrists. As Natsu went to wind up for a punch, Bora clicked his tongue and jerked on the girlâs arm, making her wail in pain. âAh, ah, ah. Wouldnât want to have to break the pretty ladyâs arm here. Why donât you fizzle out for a second, yeah?â Bora sneered at Natsu before his eyes drifted to Juvia. They instantly narrowed in confusion. âWhat?! What are you doing here?â
âJuvia has come to put a stop to your villainy!â He stared at her, then snorted and looked back to Natsu.
âSo, this your new boyfriend? He sick of the rain yet?â Juvia flushed bright pink and slapped her hands to her cheeks, bleating about how Natsu wasnât her boyfriend at all, but froze in horror when he mentioned her rain. She looked at the fire mage in terror to see him staring quizzically at Bora. âAh, havenât figured it out yet, eh? This womanâs a curse. Makes it rain wherever she goes. It gets old real quick; thatâs why I dumped her.â Juvia hung her head as she hugged herself. She couldnât speak of for herself, but her mind was just melancholy echoes of No⌠Juvia is not a curseâŚ
âYouâre a real piece oâ work, you know that, asshole?â Natsu snarled. She peered back at him to see him slamming a fist into his palm, fire blooming at the area of contact. âWhatâs wrong with rain, huh?â
âYeah! It makes all the flowers grow and it smells really nice and fresh~â Happy trilled with a wiggling tail.
âYou said it, Happy! Iâm sure there are plenty oâ people out there who would see Juvia as a blessing. So, kindly let me punch the snot outta ya for disrespectinâ her like that, okay?â Natsu hunched down, fist drawn back with fire swirling within, but Bora once again made use of his hostage. He did not expect the girl to have plenty of fight left in her, however, because once he was distracted by Natsu, she slammed the heel of her boot as hard as she could into his toes. Bora yowled in agony and let her go to begin bouncing around on one foot, while the girl snatched a ring of jangling silver and gold keys to hurriedly dash over and hide behind Juvia.
âI dunno who you people are, but we have to save all the girls on this ship!â
âWeâre Fairy Tail mages!â Natsu grinned brightly. Juviaâs cheeks darkened as she smiled happily, her heart beginning to flutter again. She hadnât even officially joined yet, but he was already acknowledging her as a comrade? The girl began screaming about how she wanted to join Fairy Tail too and that they were going to talk after Bora was effectively handled. Now that the girl was free, Bora hand no shield, and Natsu was rearing up for a big attack.
âTake this, ya scumbag!â Natsuâs chest suddenly swelled up as he breathed in deeply, and the two girls watched in admiration as he released a billowing white-hot flame from the pits of his lungs. âFire Dragonâs Rooooooooar!â Just barely audible over the rushing of the flames was Boraâs high-pitched totally unmanly screaming as he was blasted through the hull of the ship and out into open water. Natsu snickered and wiped at his mouth, grinning at the large hole in the side of the cruise liner. âWell, that takes care of that.â
âYou idiot! Everythingâs on fire!â the blonde girl screeched and ran over to bonk him over the head.
âWho are you, anyway?!â Natsu whined, crouching down as he rubbed his bruised noggin.
âMy nameâs Lucy!â
âUm! Lucy! Please do not hit Natsu! And donât worry, Juvia can handle the fire,â the water mage quipped suddenly before she scampered over to the gaping hole in the hull of the ship. She gathered some of the sea water below and surged it through the opening, splashing it over the flickering flames to quickly douse them before they spread too far. I will show Natsu that I am worthy to join Fairy Tail! She thought with glee as she willed the water about the room. She got a little excited, though, and three very loud complaining yelps indicated that she had accidentally drenched the others. She laughed sheepishly and rubbed the back of her neck as Lucy and Natsu gave her thin-lipped glares. âJuvia is sorryâŚâ
~~~~~~~~~~
They handed Bora over to the authorities and the drugged women were transported to the nearest hospital for treatment. Now, the three mages and Happy were sitting along the cobblestone wall overlooking the harbor. Lucy had related the tale of her own search for the Salamander and how she had ended up on the cruise liner and foiled Boraâs plot.
âThis turned out great, huh?â Natsu laughed with a beaming smile. âNow I can take the two of you back to Fairy Tail with me! Grampsâll be pleased.â His scarf swished as he hopped down off the wall and stretched his arms above his head. âHe ainât gonna be pleased about the property damage to the cruise liner that scumbag was rentingâŚâ he mumbled with lidded eyes. He then whirled around to point at the two of them. âAnyway! Howâs about dinner, yeah? Iâm starving after all that butt-whoopinâ!â
âIt wasnât even a butt-whoopinâ; you took him out in five secondsâŚâ Lucy muttered under her breath, then smiled. âBut, Iâve heard of a nice place in town. Follow me!â She hopped off the wall to begin skipping down the street with Happy flying (apparently, he could conjure wings, the strange little cat creature) behind her. Juvia jumped down from the wall and turned to follow when suddenly Natsuâs hand was extended out to her.
âYou must be really happy, huh?â
âOh⌠Yes. How could you tell?â she blinked. Ever since Natsu had offered for her to join Fairy Tail, she had possessed this floaty feeling in her body, and her heart had refused to be still. Juvia had been hesitant to call it love, since it had landed her in plenty of trouble in the past, but she also couldnât deny that it was strongly familiar. Natsu cocked his head to the side as he scrunched up his eyes from a big smile.
âIt stopped raininâ, you know?â
Juvia gasped and snapped her neck back to look at the sky. Sure enough, it was brilliantly blue and cloudless. Her indigo eyes shook as she beheld the thing that had been veiled to her for as long as she could remember. They filled up with tears that soon spilled over onto her cheeks, and her mouth twisted into a brokenly overjoyed smile.
âItâs⌠So beautiful⌠It has been so long since Juvia has seen the skyâŚâ
âJuvia.â Her head slowly fell back down to meet his brilliant green eyes. In the back of her mind, she thought they complimented her shade nicely. âLetâs go. To Fairy Tail.â Juvia extended a trembling hand to slide it into his, and his fingers grasped on tightly. His hand was so warm and welcoming and kind. It had been so long since Juvia had felt such caring emotions from someone. She used her other hands to quickly wipe at her cheeks as Natsu lurched her forward, laughing animatedly. Her feet carried her onward, towards her new future.
Juvia thought for a moment that it was good luck she took the train to Hargeon Town, then corrected herself.
No, not luck⌠Call it destiny.

It's a thursday afternoon. Gray's mother have asked him to go to the convenience store and buy them a pack of frozen nuggets for dinner tonight. After getting the grocery, he stops by the snack isle to pick up something for him as well, only to stop in his tracks once he spot that blue hair.
There's only one person who has that long, flowy blue hair in this town and it's Juvia. Juvia Redfox.
Gray has had the biggest crush on her ever since she and her brother moved to town a couple of months ago. Sadly, there has never been a progress with them. Gray is just too shy to approach her and Juvia.. Juvia has always been too cool to even hang out with his group of friends. He always sees her hanging out with his brother's friends. A biker gang. Gajeel, the school's biggest asshole is the leader and unfortunately.. the infamous brother.
She's wearing the usual black leather jacket that Gray often sees her wear after school and a pair of tight jeans that hug her legs just right.
Gray's heart almost burst on his ribcage when Juvia suddenly looks his way and he quickly snaps his head to the other direction. Cheeks flaming from being caught staring.
His heart starts beating a mile a minute when he hears footsteps getting closer. The sound of heels clicking on the floor echoing in his ears.
It takes all of his will power not to jump when he hears her cleared her throat beside him.
"Excuse me but can you move aside?" She asks him and Gray took a few steps aside nervously. She's so close that Gray can smell her perfume. She smells like cinnamon and vanilla.
"Thanks.." Juvia smiles awkwardly before kneeling down to take one of the snacks on the rack.
If she notices how weird Gray is acting, she doesn't mention it.
Gray tries his best not to stare at her like a weirdo and try to mind his own business. But then he hears her asks him once she stands up: "Soo you go to Magnolia High too?"
He tries not to sound too surprised that Juvia knows he goes to the same school as her. He turns around, "Yeah, how did you know?"
She looks at him weirdly. "You're wearing our uniform..."
Gray feels like an idiot. He chuckles awkwardly, "Oh yeah.."
The blue haired girl's lips curls on the corner, "Are you okay? You seem kinda nervous.."
Gray's heartbeats start to spike up and he tries his best not to stumble over his next words. The basket he's holding suddenly feels so much heavier now. "No, I'm fine."
If Juvia wasn't smiling before, then she's full on grinning now. "Okaaay.." She teases, obviously not believing him before turning on her heels and walking away.
Gray's mind is screaming at him to say something. Now is his chance and maybe his only chance of finally making Juvia notices him. He can do it. He has to do it.
"Gray."
That makes Juvia halts in her steps. "What?" She turns around to face him with a confused look.
Gray gulps, calming his erratic heartbeats. "I'm Gray. It's nice to meet you.."
A smirk appears on Juvia's face as something in her eyes glints. Gray doesn't know why but he finds it extremely hot. "Oh, well I'm Juvia. And it's nice to meet you too." She replies with the smirk still playing on her lips. Juvia turns around before waving a hand without looking at him, "I'll see you around, Gray."
With that, Gray is all alone again, staring blankly into space. Finally, he lets out a breath he doesn't know he's been holding.
He can't believe it. Did he really just talk to Juvia Redfox?

FT Request: GrayZa; Gray performing CPR on Erza to restart her heart
Water gently lapped at her feet, the volleyball field stretching from the sandy shores to the swaying waves of the beach.
It was a hot day and team Natsu decided to relax, or in Erza's words 'train'.
Even if they'd beaten countless of seemingly unbeateable foes, they couldn't allow their skills to rust, as rival guilds started coming to the doors of Fairy Tail every day, demanding a fight for the strongest guild in the whole of Fiore.
If they were lucky, it was Natsu or Gray who usually took them on.
On a bad day, it was Erza and most challengers turned on their heels at the sight of Titania with her sword out.
After all those challenges, it did good to relax a bit.
She'd been surprised at Gray's invitation to join him, what was supposed to be a little trip with just the two of them (Juvia was on a mission elsewhere with Wendy, so she wouldn't follow them) turned out to be a full on group trip with Natsu, Lucy and Happy joining them. Not that Erza minded their company, but Gray had been in an icy mood and a bit more short tempered with Natsu since.
"Erza over here!" the redhead looked over to her right, seeing the ice make mage running towards the center field, preparing for a high jump and a slam dunk to score points.
"Make it count Gray!" Erza took a step back to swing the volleyball at him, Natsu already burning on the other side of the net, eagerly waiting to intercept the ball.
This would be their victory.
Until it wasn't.
Erza's foot didn't hit the soft maleable sand beneath her but something else, a sickening crack reached her ears and the requip mage froze on the spot, unadulterating pain shooting up her entire leg.
It was a crab.
It had gotten her foot.
"Oi! Erza, shoot!"
Gray's shout sounded distant, the woman lost her balance, feet sliding from beneath her and plunging her into the unforgiving waves of the ocean, the formerly gentle waves now sucking her into their depths further out at sea.
She'd stayed down only a minute, maybe more, until an icy shower wracked her whole body and the water around her turned solid, only her figure remaining afloat above the now frozen part of the ocean.
Erza coughed violently, hearing the shouts from her friends, "Erza!"
Natsu, Lucy and Gray were running towards her but Gray reached her first, Erza's cloudy vision recognizing the man from his dark blue swimming trunks and the guild mark on his chest as he quickly scooped her up into his arms and her world went dark.
She distinctively heard a rush of flames, Natsu's fire melting the ice before their friends followed after them, "Erza! Gray, she lost consciousness!"
She heard the voices but they seemed distant, the only thing she registered fully was the warm embrace around her, strong arms craddling her to a firm chest, before she felt herself sinking slightly into the sand beneath her.
Why couldn't she open her eyes? Why did she feel like the breath had been stolen from her? Her lungs were burning.
Air! I need air!
She tried shouting, reaching out but her body wouldn't follow her orders, it reminded her of the time she'd been imprisoned by Kyouka, a time she wished she would forget.
Air
Wait...she felt it, she felt air rushing through her, filling her lungs.
Erza's hands dug into the sand, her body spasming, trying to orientate itself.
All the requip mage felt at that moment was the sweet air entering her lungs and the strange, warm softness pressed against her freezing lips.
What-
"Erza!" Lucy's relieved voice rang through Erza's head and she coughed violently, surging forward.
"You really gave us a scare!" Natsu bellow from beside the celestial spirit mage, who promptly slapped his hand.
She could feel something soft and furry at her feet and after slowly opening her eyes, she saw Happy gently rubbing her injured foot, "Aye...I think a crab got your foot!" the blue cat was trying to clumsily wrap a band aid around the wound, courtesy of Erza packing nearly her whole house into their luggage for the trip. One could never be too safe on trips.
For the first time since regaining consciousness, Erza noticed she was leaning against something.
Or someone.
"How're you feeling now?" the familiar cool voice from behind her made Erza uncharacteristically feel flustered.
The hand gently placed upon her forehead made matters worse, "Oi...you're feverish."
Gray carefully readjusted himself, supporting Erza's back against his chest, one arm wrapped around her shoulder as the other channeled his magic and tried to cool down her apparent fever.
"Huh?! A fever? Erza, are you sick?" Lucy kneeled down next to her friend, worriedly looking over the woman's tired features.
Erza coughed, a salty aftertaste of the sea's remnants and sighed in relief over Gray's hand still on her forehead, despite not feeling like running a fever at all.
"Better?" his soothing voice was a little too close to her ear but Erza nodded slowly.
Natsu rubbed the back of his neck, sighing in relief, "Man, good thing Gray immediately gave you CPR, who knows what would've happened, right Mr. Nurse?"
Gray immediately snarled back, "Hey!" despite the harsh tone of his voice, his grip around Erza remained gentle, "Knock it off Natsu, I'll deal with you later."
The fire dragon slayer huffed and crossed his arms, Erza appreciatively squeezing his bicep, "You... have... my thanks Gray."
The ice mage chuckled, the sound sending another burst of warmth running through the knight, "Don't worry about it, let's just cool you down for now."
It was then that it finally dawned on her.
Gray had given her CPR.
The feeling of air rushing through her lungs was Gray giving her his air.
The warm pressure she'd felt were Gray's lips on hers.
Gray had...
Lucy's eyes flew open in shock, pointing at her friend, "E-Erza, y-your face-!"
Gray tensed and quickly leaned down to see what caused Lucy to be in such a worry.
Erza's whole face was beet red.
"Gah! What's wrong? Erza? Say something! Is your fever that high? O-Oi Erza!" Gray gently shook her, increasing his ice magic to try and still the fever.
Erza was lost to them, her thoughts spiralling out of control at the thought of Gray kissing her.
He'd kissed her.
Happy covered his mouth, grinning like the Cheshire cat, "Hihih, Erza's in love~!"
The cat didn't anticipate the brutal kick that sent him flying to the skies in the next second, "Shut up cat!" Lucy's infamous kick sent him off shooting towards the sky.
Natsu ran after his friend, "Gaahh! Happy! Hang on Happy I'm coming!"
"Ayeeeeee!"
- I'm sorry anon, I switched it up a bit, I hope that's okay! Thank you for the request!
First installment for my Fill in the Blanks series. These are not headcanons since itâs me adding and elaborating here and there according to my own visions, some can be considered as such but mostly is me dumping ideas in a place (I am bored with tedious work and when that happends IÂ can sproud crazy ideas like fungus)
So here you go:
After getting their pardon, the group decides to stick together to make sense of their current situation.
 After the many years being outcasts/villains and the like, adapting to a life of normalcy is a bit challenging for all of them.Â
Crime Sorciere is stablished as a special guild, legal yes but tasked with special missions so they can contribute in a more active way in repairing their debts to society (a condition the guild has asked to acept their pardoning.)
Hisui donates a proper building so they can start anew. It is located on the northwest coast of Fiore, in the biggest port used to travel to Alvarez.
The party to celebrate such joyous ocassion ends in the biggest brawl ever between Lamia Scale, Sabertooth, Blue Pegasus, Quattro Cerberus, Fairy Tail and of course Crime Sorciere. Itâs deemed a success. Jellal is not so sure after Richardâs report (Hisui already prevented this so she offers to repair it for free just this time).Â
Erza scolds the rest of guilds for ruining Jellalâs *ahem* Crime Sorciereâs place *cue lots of teasing looks*
They are for most part a traveling guild, however per royal decree, they canât abandon Fiore´s country unless they get a royal permit.
All of the CS members agree that the greatest perk of being legal is sleeping in a decent place, heck! even cheat hotels are good! (mostly the guys opinions, the girls thinks otherwise).Â
No one tolerates the waste of food and no few brawls have broken out in their vinicity over it. Good food can bring the CS guildmembers to tears (Cobra denies it furiously but everyone knows he is the biggest sap ever over it).
Searching for Ultear and Richardâs brother are top priority.
