#frozen crossover

Captain Picard walked into the holodeck. He wanted something simple, something relaxing, something nostalgic from his childhood.

“Computer, begin Ice twenty thirteen,” he commanded.

“Ice twenty thirteen loading. Which characters?”

“Same as last time,” Picard said.

“Recalling previous settings.”

The grey walls of the holodeck began transforming into a green meadow with dramatic mountains in the background. It was a warm, sunny spring day, and there was a table set for tea near the edge of the woods.  A woman in a sparkling blue dress walked into the clearing.

“Captain Picard,” she said. “It’s so good to see you again. I’m so glad you could join me for tea.”

“Queen Elsa,” Picard smiled, taking her hand. “Every time is a pleasure.”

“Shall we sit down?” She gestured at the table. “I brewed Earl Grey.”

“Yes, please,” he said, taking a seat next to her.

She poured the tea for him and then for herself. 

“Cake?” she asked. 

“No thank you,” he replied. “But I will try one of those chocolates, if you could spare one.”

“Of course!” Elsa said, taking the tongs and setting a chocolate on his plate.

Picard took a moment to savor the chocolate. Perhaps chocolate like this wasn’t historically accurate, but why worry about details like that?

“You know, Captain,” Elsa began.

“Please, Your Majesty, would you call me Jean-Luc?” he asked.

“Yes, of course, Jean-Luc, but you should simply call me Elsa, then.”

“Elsa, yes, I’m happy to do that.”  He smiled.  “What were you starting to say?”

“Well, Jean-Luc, ever since you introduced me to this tea, it’s all that we drink around here now.  Everyone loves it.”

He raised an eyebrow.  “Really?” 

“Captain,” the computer interrupted. “There is an urgent message for you.”

“You’ll have to excuse me, Elsa. Duty calls.  I look forward to our next meeting.”

“Likewise, Jean-Luc,” she replied. Elsa got up and walked back into the forest.

“Computer, save program,” he commanded.
