Their chest heaves when they finally find him —— he’s good at disappearing! They guess with somebody like Vil hovering, looking for reasons to punish, he’d have to be good at it. Doesn’t change the fact that the normally unflappable Yuu is gasping for breath, eyes wide and relieved, when they find him hiding out near the Ramshackle dorm. It’s smart. Vil wouldn’t be caught dead someplace as shabby as this, they imagine.
Hands drop to their knees as they get their breath back — they’re perfectly fit, but bolting all over campus will wear anybody out. Especially when they’d spent most of their run in a BLIND PANIC. Yet when their head raises, Yuu is smiling at him, warm like sunshine, and grateful.
“I’m glad I found you! I was really worried that you got in trouble because of me,” the say once they’ve found enough air to speak. They keep pushing Epel to relax around them, wanting to offer some kind of relief from the facade that it’s become utterly clear he’s maintaining around his own dorm. But sometimes, it’s hard to know which walls have ears. When they’d heard he’d disappeared after talking with Vil, to say they’d worried would be an understatement. They wouldn’t forgive themselves if he got in trouble because of their indiscretion.
Yuu flops to sit beside him where he stands, grinning upwards. His face is caught between confusion and disbelief, and the prefect doesn’t waste time trying to figure out why. They just say, “But if you’re safe, it’s okay!”
His expression only twists further.  “How did you find me, anyway?”
Yuu’s head tilts, and they look up towards the sky. The words are thoughtless and, to them, quite obvious : “I figured you’d try someplace that Vil wouldn’t come looking.” They take a breath, and when they speak again, it’s a murmur meant more for themselves than the boy. They don’t even really realize they’ve said it. “That’s what I always did when Takahashi - san was annoyed with me.” Â
They nod towards their dorm.  “Wanna come inside, since we’re close anyway? I promise the common areas are mostly clean at this point, and I’ve mostly saved the kitchen, so I can make us a snack if you want.”
