im assuming we'll have PVs for all the featured characters as the final countdown begins!! we just get furukaza first (and Together) because their roles seem to be less important, even if we dont know the PSB's connection to this case🤔

Kazami strikes me as the type that was in a serious relationship with a girl he met in high school, stayed together for 3+ years and had discussed marriage after graduation and nearly went through with it, before it all fell apart very abruptly. incompatible future plans? career imbalance? that sort of thing. It just didn't work out, wasn't meant to be.

He would battle a deep depression during the time he spent in the police academy, and end up relapsing into his habit of overworking himself to avoid emotional burdens. Which started when he had to take on the responsibility of providing for his little sister at only 16 after their mother's passing. She's only a couple years younger than Kazami, and is currently happily married & had already moved out of their small apartment long ago. She's most grateful to have had him by her side all those years, and couldn't be more proud of how far he's come :'))

It's easier to classify Furuya as the more emotionally unavailable/exhausted one, but Kazami is no better than him at that in my eyes. Something about that man's strong work ethic, sense of responsibility & absolute devotion just tells me he is Not well🤔 LMAO

I think it would be just as tricky to attempt getting close to/befriending Kazami. I mean this is the guy that refuses to drop honorifics with his boss even when asked to and on his own birthday (update it's Not his birthday actually, I blame Ch.11 for being so gay and making me believe it was but anyway) I think there's a little more behind that than just the fact he holds his Furuya-san to such a high regard and could never drop ranks around him. Consider maybe: weaponizing the nature of their work relationship against Furuya's attempts at getting closer to him (Feel free to disagree with me on this one I just. sense it strongly in my bones. my frkz bones. Furuya isn't the only fucked up one here TRUST ME)

On a lighter note, I do believe that sharing their sorrows and slowly dropping their walls around eachother would be a great first step to.. um. take their relationship to the next level :D Kazami already knows about Hiro and HagiMatsu. Furuya when he realizes he has to get vulnerable in order to get to know his crush better: =_=
