a small informational post for those who believe all otherkin/therians are insane, and genuinely believe that we think we are an animal. More specifically, this is a post aimed towards anti-kin, or whatever you'd like to call yourselves. Please bear in mind that this isn't supposed to come off as rude, and I'm always open for friendly debate if you'd be up for it :)

For me, therianthropy is a spiritual belief, and nothing more. Reincarnation comes into it, too, as I think I was an animal in a past life, and that is still a part of me, and I identify as it. It's no more and no less valid than any other belief, and it cannot be proven or disproven.

People who genuinely believe that they are an animal have something called Clinical Lycanthropy, and do need help. These people are not awful, and they don't deserve to be screamed at. They're mentally ill, and there isn't anything else to it. For the most part, the community does not believe in physical shifting, and we know it is completely impossible.
