Chicken dumplings are a tasty and filling dish that can be eaten for dinner or as a snack. The ground chicken and vegetables inside these dumplings are very tasty. They are wrapped in a thin dough and fried in a pan until they are crispy. Then they are steamed until they are just right, making the inside juicy and tender and the outside crispy. For a tasty treat, serve them with your favorite dipping sauce.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground chicken. 1 cup finely chopped cabbage. 1/2 cup chopped green onions. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 tablespoon soy sauce. 1 teaspoon sesame oil. 1/2 teaspoon grated ginger. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. 1 package dumpling wrappers. 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, for frying.
Instructions: Add garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, black pepper, and green onions to a large bowl. Then add the ground chicken. Combine well. Put some of the chicken mixture on top of each dumpling wrapper. Wet the edges of the wrapper, then fold it over and press to seal. Put oil in a pan and heat it over medium-low heat. Be careful not to touch the dumplings as you put them in the pan. For about two to three minutes, or until the bottoms are golden brown. Add water slowly to the pan, cover, and steam for 5 to 7 minutes, or until the dumplings are fully cooked. Serve hot with any dipping sauce you like.
