Around the world, people are walking off the job in huge numbers, withholding their labor power to protest government attacks on workers’ rights and other crimes of the profit system. Why isn’t this in the news?
The capitalist government, from the Trumps and Pelosis on down, and the big bosses they answer to, don’t want workers, communities and students here to see the power that they could have if they all get together to shut down business (and profits) as usual.
Russian revolutionary leader V.I. Lenin studied the importance of strikes and shared this knowledge with the working class. Following are excerpts from his early article, “On Strikes”:
Strikes teach the workers to unite; they show them that they can struggle against the capitalists only when they are united; strikes teach the workers to think of the struggle of the whole working class against the whole class of factory owners and against the arbitrary, police government. This is the reason that socialists call strikes “a school of war,” a school in which the workers learn to make war on their enemies for the liberation of the whole people, of all who labor, from the yoke of government officials and from the yoke of capital.
This photo might look peaceful but remember Instagram is just an illusion 😁- it was taken yesterday when things were calm 🤪! Not anymore. 😐We had such a great time in #Marseille and were super ready to go to #Eindhoven. But some things are just not meant to happen. Political strike in #France has canceled so many trains and flights including ours. When traveling you have to be prepared for these kind of situations yet it is hard to keep calm when you have three more flights and no available options to leave the country for the next three days (I mean 1000 euros for a flight is not an option, at least not for me😓). I hope the solution is found now, so please cross your fingers for me and just peacefully wish me luck if you are not a hater :) If you are a hater watch some of my #CopyKatVlog 😘j/k :) Maybe I will record a new one about our trip and all #Frenchstrike adventures. I believe in good energy and positive 💭 thinking. So ... Universe, be kind. X (at Aeroport Marseille Provence)
