Free International Opera Livestream - June 9th 2016 - 7pm UK time

Brilliant news opera fans (and would be opera experiencers). The Royal Opera House are livestreaming Verdi’s Nabucco on YouTube for viewers anywhere in the world to enjoy! Read all about the production and find details here.

The stream will be hosted on the ROH’s YouTube and will also be screened at several free public screenings in partnership with BP - find venues here!

George Brandis in his first interview since losing the Arts portfolio-is anyone else just slightly worried that he think he’s chummy with Minister Fifield!? 

Let’s hope that he wasn’t lying about being busy playing leader of the Cabinet, and keeps his nose out of a sector that doesn’t want his opinion!

Over the next four year, the Australia Council will lose roughly 15% of their current funding to the Minister’s new bloodsucking pet (aka. the NPEA) 

How is the industry supposed to survive when their biggest source of support is losing its fat like a popped balloon?! 

And as the NPEA’s coffers swell, I’m sure we’re all wondering who’s pockets all that money is going to end up in?

It’s a shame the Minister couldn’t give us more straight forward answers, despite Patricia’s best efforts to squeeze genuine information from him.
