“It's quiet now. So quiet that I can almost hear other people's dreams.” [To Janaff]
"It’s kind of eerie, isn’t it?" Briefly, he scanned their surroundings again, though as expected, not a single person had moved from that mass of stone statues. This by far was not how Janaff expected things to halt; especially after intense the war was getting. He had been on opposite sides of the battlefield from Sothe more than once, yet they were here now talking as if they were back in the same army as they were a few years ago. In a way, it was as if nothing had changed between them. It was odd, knowing this was happening because of the unfortunate fate the other soldiers had met.
"Dreams, huh… I guess they don’t mean much to statues. I’m not totally sure why we were spared, but there’s really no point in fighting anymore. If we did now, all that would be left are people who know each other. That would be a real shame, it would." He watched as the other teams sorted out who would be where, Janaff’s spot in Tibarn’s team already decided. Allies who had become enemies in this war were now fighting together again as allies… This had been the strangest war Janaff had ever known. "I guess in an odd way, I’m a bit glad for this. There are some people who were my enemies who I wouldn’t have exactly enjoyed fighting. I know you were an enemy to me in this war, but you were a nice kid when we were in the same army before. Glad you didn’t die out there, you know?"
