I have a question regarding a pre-Raphaelite work, one my parents used to have. I remember it was a brunette lady clad in purple, very elegant looking. She had a bird, as well. I can't figure the title of the work or the painter, its driving me nuts. Could you be of any help? Thanks!
Has it ever been outside of private collection, or been shown to the public? Do you have any idea who the painter might’ve been, did she look like a Rossetti gal or more like Burne-Jones’s or Evelyn de Morgan’s? Is it a full body picture.. etc… because that’s kind of a vague description when there’s so many pre-raphaelite paintings with birds, or purple dresses!

Arthur Hughes, Edward Burne-Jones and Evelyn de Morgan have some beautiful paintings of ladies in purple dress. I can’t think of any one painting in particular so I’m afraid I’m not much of a help. Maybe my followers can be!
